Just found this video after buying one for my 2021 V60. Was about to send it back assuming it's the wrong part as it doesn't seem like it fits at first. It's worth nothing the mounting feet are thicker than the ones on the grab handle to make room for the glasses. Mine does close all the way with the glasses in but they have to be put in a very specific position, not great!

@@au08aaf bigger glasses will prevent it from closing. It definitely isn’t a perfect solution from Volvo but more useful than a grab handle for a driver.

Thanks for this video! I'm curious, it looks like it doesn't close all the way; is that because the pair of glasses you used in the video were large, or because the springs didn't close it all the way without manual intervention?

My mk3 Focus had one but not the mk4 😞

MK 2.5, 3, 3.5 are the same. I believe 4 is the same also.

That was handy. I just bought mine and am struggling with the flaps. May you clarify how can I snug them in and let them open outwards ? Seems you had some challenge with that too

Yes definitely not the best design... if you look in the introduction they state if you want you can just brake them off all together LOL. What I did after I move them few times they go easier to stick under the headliner. Also I did one at a time starting from the far one out that is not spring loaded. Hope this helps, take your time. And if something just cut them out if you close to given up. Good luck

This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Why not just include the thing from the factory like EVERY OTHER luxury car out there, near the map lights. Hell, my sonata came with one. Nothing against you or your channel but this is just asinine from Volvo. It didn't even close properly when you were closing it.

I agree. My Alfa Romeo doesn’t have one either. And the rest of the cars interior storage is awful so I literally have no where to put them. Brutal.
