Loved the Angel on the children’s pew! It reminds me of the kneeling one in my Italian manger. 😊

Hi Phil and Caroline, fantastic adventure and it’s giving us the urge to travel the 154 miles from here on Romney Marsh and have a look around Glastonbury ourselves. Such a fantastic view from the Tor overlooking the Somerset levels and north and north west to Wales. Thanks for sharing Best wishes Mark and Julie ⭐️😊👍

Hello Johnsons. Your latest videos are beautiful, informative and full of historical content. I do, however, miss your mudlarking and shed crafting. Will you be doing that again? Love from the USA. 4:15PM

So glad you've enjoyed the latest videos, and we appreciate that a lot of our viewers miss the mudlarking content... But while we never say never, the mudlarking has had to stop and there are no plans to do any more, with the possible of exceptions when we visit mudlarking friends like Tom. And even then, due to health concerns we won't be venturing far off the beaten track as we've done in the past. So, the plan is to travel as much as we can and share the scenery & sights with everyone and of course, a bit of the history. Thanks foe watching 😎🐼🙂🐼

In ancient times Gog & Magog were giants that were said to live in the hills in Devon, near Totnes if I remember right.

It seems Gog & Magog have turned up in a lot of legends and localities since they were first mentioned in the Bible, Sarah. And as well as Giants of Welsh Mythology and the hills of Devon they are big in London too! 😎🐼🙂🐼

Hello Phil and Caroline this was the first time of hearing about St. Michaels tower. That was more than we could ask for the two of you hiking up the mountain. Although, a beautiful view the walk was exhausting from my perspective. I hope Caroline is ok after all of that. You both have such wonderful intentions and I don’t want to see anything happening to either one of you. This was a magnificent tour around Glastonbury very beautiful town, church inside and out. You both did a fantastic service to tour us and show such detail of everything. I hope you have a wonderful week to rest⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

It was an exhausting climb Susan, but we paced ourselves and had a good rest before making our way down. Fortunately we were staying in a campsite very nearby, so we were able to walk through the lanes to our caravan and take it easy for a day or two after making the film. And we filmed the Climb of The Tor and the Tour of The Town over 2 days, not to over do it. But then with Caroline's clever editing it all becomes one trip. Thanks for your concern and your kind and encouraging comment. 😎🐼🙂🐼

I was so excited to see that you were in Glastonbury as I'm due to make a visit there myself in a month or two. I'm even more excited now! Thank you both so much for your detailed tour as now I have so many more things to look out for. I'm not sure I'm still capable of getting up to the Tor so I was glad for your showing us the views. Thanks both of you, you did us all proud with your great information. I'm really fired up to go and see it all!

The Tor is a bit of a climb, but there are so many wonderful things to see in the town, including the Abbey, which we didn't visit on this trip. Hope you have a wonderful time and please feel free to share pics from your trip, either on the FB Group or by email. (mudlarking@aol.com) we'd love to see them. 😎🐼🙂🐼

I was sorry to hear that Gog was dead. I visited them in 2005. I got stung by nettles. The British lady with me knew which plant to rub on to lessen the sting. Walking up the Tor from the back is much easier than the steep front path. I’ve done both. It is a stunning, albeit windy, view up there. It seems like yesterday, but I guess it’s been 20 years now.

Yes the chairs did stand out a bit, but they explained that the decision to replace the pews meant they can open the space up and create a more accessible space for people to use. So, I suppose it was a bit of a compromise, between the historical & the practical. 😎🐼🙂🐼
Mudlarking or tip larking? Either way, we had such fun!!!
