Why not depend only on the color code of the car???

Because despite having the same colour code, the blend from factory differs from one batch to another which results in slight different shade. This is more noticeable on white or lighter coloured cars.

They all have different shades. If you've worked in a body shop before, you'll know how pain in the ass to colour match, even for black. Worst is white.
