I’m excited to see what you come up with for the yellow mug-It doesn’t look bad it just has an unfinished look about it compared to the rest… color wise I think a blue or teal maybe even a melon or pink would make it pop but glaze behavior wise,I wouldn’t know. Maybe a refire will get it there? I hope you do a follow up, I’m excited to see.thanks for sharing😊☕️

LOL, if you call that lime shower mug a zombie apocalypse mug it will probably sell like crazy! I actually like it. I think the indigo rain over green tea maybe didn't get hot enough. Maybe coat in something like copper float and refire? Your oil jars came out great. Love the charms Audrey!
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, copper float might work. I kinda think it needs to be something with a little run to it. Maybe satin patina? I don’t know lol
@MeandmyfireflyEZCreations9 ай бұрын
I would work out a colour using the colour wheel. The complementary color scheme for yellow is blue and purple. I'm sure you can use a glaze that will enhance the colours of the vomit mug LOL. You make me smile as you chat along in your videos. I love your colour combinations especially with the black walnut and satin patina. Happy glazing and keep them hands muddy.

For the blah mug I would lean towards a definite blue, black or purple. Sorry it didn’t come out. That’s the nature of the beast🤪. You have so many wonderful outcomes so having one or two that aren’t the best is okay…like you said, you can always make more😃❤️
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
Agreed! You’ll see the results of the refire when I have time to post the video lol. Not great news 😂

Love the oil bottles! Would you be willing to show how you make them?

Absolutely! I can film next time I throw one 😊

Love them all, I have seen people just use the bead bar between kiln posts that's what I am going to try now that they have back in stock

Where do you get it at?

I’m ordering the copper float now!!! Thank you so much I kept looking for ancient copper until I found out it was discontinued 😮 Not enough experience yet to suggest how to rescue you mug, sorry 😊 thank you for sharing
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
Of course! You’ll love copper float. It may take 3 or 4 coats if you bought the brush on. You’ll just have to test it. But have fun experimenting!!

@@moreldesigns2674 thank you 😊 I will and yes brush on it is

For the yellow mug I would suggest maybe a crystal glaze so it really gives the mug some texture. I was thinking blue hydrangea??
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
I don’t have that one. I have aurora green, or amaryllis.

What cone did you fire to? My Ancient Copper never turns out like that. Beautiful work.
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
I fire to 5.5 generally. But I brush on 4 coats as well.

Love your work! And your right the yellow mug is ugly! Looks underfired, but the rest of your stuff is not😮 Maybe more Coats? Flux? Pearl white from spectrum I hear is a game changer😛 I just bought it so I do not know how it exactly works yet😂
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
I bet pearl white would work but I hear it’s a runner lol. I could do Mayco white opal, it seems to be similar to that? And yes, very ugly hahaha
@Ellen.s.atelier9 ай бұрын
@@moreldesigns2674 I don’t know about white opal! And Yess pearl white is a runner that is Why I bought it! Hope to use it soon🫣😁

I did the indigo rain / green tea and mine came out UGLY. I refired with I don’t even remember and it’s still ugly. Lol. Oh well, can’t win ‘‘em all. Question, do you glaze the outside of your sgraffito with a matte or just leave it bare?
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
I just leave it bare. The underglaze I use fires to a semi gloss. So it looks pretty as is. I just bought a 12 pack of colors in the same brand to test them out. You’ll see those soon. Sax true flow underglazes. They are linked in the video description 😊

What tool do you use to make your handles?

I use an extruded with custom dies. There’s an extruder linked in the description. I buy the dies from Etsy.

Have you considered making a bead rack? I’ve seen tutorials on KZbin
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
No, I wouldn’t know where to begin lol. I guess I could look into it. I just don’t want to have to make it lol
@micheledickey40669 ай бұрын
@@moreldesigns2674You can just buy the thickest nichrome rods and put them on stilts and hang your pieces from that. Just put a few pieces on the rod, then a kiln post them a few more pieces and a post!! I love the charms sooo much!! I can’t believe how dang small they are. You do such amaaaaazing work.

As soon as i saw your 'vomit' mug i thought - slap some amaco honeydew all over that! Lol. It really isnt that bad though :)
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
I’ve never tried honeydew! But the mug ended up cracking through the bottom in the refire lol.
@karinbao34019 ай бұрын
Don’t buy a bead rack, just buy a couple of the rods and suspend them from your props. Bead racks have notoriously skinny rods!
@moreldesigns26749 ай бұрын
I did purchase a rod, so we will see how it goes 😊
