If you don't practice idolatry, you shouldn't call urself a gentile. We are all just humans nowadays, normal, universal ppl. Abraham;s ancestors were gentiles as well, so what. You are a human, a believer, not a pagan\gentile.

Thank you Mottel for this wonderful teaching. I am learning so much about my ancestor's history and the customs and times when our Messiah walked this earth. Unless we understand the Hebrew context of when Yeshua lived, the customs, idioms of His time, then we can not fully understand those little gems hidden in the Parables He told. Hello and thanks for viewing this teaching. Both Jewish and Gentile believers need to be very aware of the Jewish roots of our faith in Messiah Jesus. A number of passages in the New Testament are vague until one recognizes their Jewish context. It doesn't change our faith to delve into the Jewish roots, it enriches it. I'm thankful to God's Learning Channel for the opportunity to go into the studio and make these videos that are starting to receive such a wide distribution. May the Lord use it. Shalom shalom

My late wife's parents are fortunate. In 2018 at the family dedication services for my then youngest grandchild. My in laws were there with their Christian children and Christia grandchildren watching family dedication of the 7th of their great grandchildren.. They help as able to teach their great grandchildren about the Lord. I now teach my grandchildren aside my 3 christian daughters and 3 christian sons in law.

If you don’t subscribe to oral law and tradition, why do you wear a kippah? How do you celebrate the moedim? How do you know the calendar without the temple, do you use Hillel oral law tradition calendar? Do you light candles on Erev Shabbat? Do you read blessings from the siddur? Aren’t all these oral law and tradition that you say you don’t follow? I am a gentile and I highly respect the oral law and tradition. But I do not make it above the written law. In fact I have been taught that any oral law or tradition from the Talmud must have scriptural basis. Also we must remember the authority “smiicha” passed down from Moshe to the leaders enabling to make judgements based on the written law. These judgments became oral law as we don’t see each and every possible law breaking scenario in the scriptures and how to handle those cases. Thank you Rabbi.
