1) this was much more poppy and just made it less respectable as a song 2) this, like many cover songs, just dismissed the rapping part even though that had the most lyricism 3) the original had the swagger and braggadocio of Kanye West. This just had two choir boys who probably do ballet.

+KaizerMan less respectable of a song? Hardly. Do you see how many people agreed with my post? This version is 100 times better than the original. This version actually gives meaning to the words and celebrates the lyrics and these two guys can actually sing. The original version falls very flat, especially West's rapping part. The singing in the original is poorly done and there is very little energy behind the words. I'm sorry, but your view is in the minority here. I can guarantee you if both versions came out at the same time, the vast majority of people would buy this version and take a pass on West's take on the song.
