“We just did talk about this. You just don’t like what I have to say.” Pretty much sums up a lot of couples problems to a tea.

Perfect! Emma stands her ground stating she is not a pushover sitting on a pedestal. She loves her job, her life in Lima. Will is prehistoric misogynistic gaslighter. ROT IN HELL BUTT CHIN

Will did the right thing by asking her if she wanted to go, but it then it lead to demanding her to go when she reasonably declines. Geez, Emma can never catch a break. She's not a pushover. Emma Pillsbury is a natural, organic peacemaker.

Me too. She states she loves Will determination to fight for the Arts but living in Washington for a while is not something she considers ideal. She enjoys her job her life in Lima and makes her perfectly clear that she is not a pushover, especially to the man she loves. Woman's got to have boundaries.

Will has no right to get angry at emma she always put his dreams first to hers till now
@ryanappleton36534 жыл бұрын
We never know what her dreams are. She's got a HELL lot of potential despite her fragile nature, progresses at her own speed and has a passion for helping people and is the most empathetic character on the show who UNFORTUNATELY was swept under the rug and never got a lot of time to flex her character. Real shame, Emma was always my favourite.

Wow, I'm impressed by Emma here. She's supportive and warm while also standing up for herself. Quality social skills by her here.

When Emma was dating Carl, he allowed her to be more adventurous and eager to step out of her comfort zone. But through the malevolent interventions (That's right, I went there) of William Michael Schuester, she reverted back to the fragile stereotype of the sweet and innocent nice girl.

Will was just like Terri. From the beginning with their friendship, he always tried to make her do what he wanted and we she didn't he threw a fit until she did it. That's why he and Terri didn't work out. Both of them wanted full control of the relationship.
@madisonderynioski26023 жыл бұрын
You know, at first I didn't see how controlling Will was. Like I saw it with Terri and felt bad for Will and how he was controlled. But now that I read your comment, I realize that Will, in fact, is rather controlling. And not even just of Emma. But there were times he was over-the-top controlling with the Glee kids.

@@skylarblue5284 So glad someone agrees. Carl was allowing Emma to be more adventurous and this was potential character development that was swept into the trash by Ryan Murphy who had written Emma running back to Will who was a controlling gaslighter forcing Emma to fit his idea of a stereotype.

Mr.Shue honestly is the worst character in this show he goes after girls that are in relationships and yells at kids and also manipulates teens into something they didn’t wanna do
@aijaprime75534 жыл бұрын
Well..I wouldn't say he's the worst since a lot of the Glee kid's success is due to him pushing them and constantly supporting and believing in them,, but where you're coming from is pretty reasonable

I agree with the point that "in some circumstances" trying out and seeing how it goes can be a great idea when there is a slight possibility that there may be some solution. But in this case there's nothing to test. Because they know what the problem is (in this case emma not being able to do her job she wants for a whole year) and going there is the opposite of solving the problem.

Sometimes one of my parents needs to travel somewhere for a few days or a few weeks, on occasion even a month or so - sometimes it's one parent sometimes it's the other, and sometimes they go together to work together on the same thing if one of them needs help. But whenever one has to go they don't expect the other to come with them, they talk about it if they need the help but they make the decision together and don't act all "I thought you were supportive of this" or "It's not like I'm asking a lot of you" when it's just one of them going.

That's part of the point. Will's expectation is that she doesn't have the right to say no...to say that she's not interested in doing that.
