Their love for each other seems so real and I love it. It’s so natural. I know some people may find it a little odd and yes Mr. Schue can be creepy at times but he’s the father figure Finn needed. I know he had Burt but but was also struggling to give Kurt all the love and attention he could too.

Omg this makes me so happy because I totally forgot they made up, since I remember only the part after they sing "Bye bye bye/I Want it that way" and I THOUGHT THAT THEY ENDED IT LIKE THAT AND FINN/CORY DIED BEFORE THEY COULD GO BACK TO THE WAY THEY WERE, I have no idea how I could forget about this part

ifeelpretty57 He was thinner the entirety of season 4. I wondered about that and checked. I think by then, at the beginning of season 4, Lea was getting him on a healthier diet so I’m not sure any drug use was involved that early. And for the character, looking thinner made sense with the military boot camp, and then hiking for months before anyone sees him at the very end of 4x03.

@@theschnauzers yea im not sure if its been mentioned a lot but lea helped him go to the gym more often and shift his diet especially after his relapse to distract from urges, etc.

No he looked different for all of season 4. Cory was dieting and started excercising/going gym especially with lea. He lost weight for a movie mccanick where he was playing a drug addict 💔 and that was filmed the same time as season 4 glee so that's why. His addiction started around December 2012 near the end of season 4 which this was. If you didn't know what happened, you wouldn't be saying that he was using but everyone tends to make that assumption which wasn't the case for all of season 4. No one could tell in reality.

This. They did a PSA after Cory died and it was about drugs and they mentioned that he neither looked or acted like an addict. Its so incredibly sad. I miss him everyday, it's a huge tragedy.

This scene is harder to watch since I found out this is the time we see Finn for the rest of the series. I really wanted to see Finn as a co-teacher in New Directions😔😓

In this scene, Will is in the auditorium, standing next to the piano. He stands there and closes his eyes, as he does, he thinks back to the time he and the New Directions won Nationals. As the lights go out, and the memory fades, Finn's voice catches his attention. Finn says, "Mr. Shue." He looks up and sees Finn standing by the stairs by the seats. Finn says, "you were right." "About what?" Will asks him. Finn responds, "me. Me needing to get my focus back. So, I talked to the dean of students about your offer and......she said she's willing to give me college credit for all the time that I spend here helping out." Will asks him, "is that your way of saying, 'apology accepted'?" Finn responds, "That's my way of saying, I'm willing to come back. But if I do, things have got to be different. No more fetching your coffee, or picking up your dry cleaning. I don't wanna come back to be a gopher. It's gotta be a partnership. I wanna be treated like an equal, like......a teacher. Then you bring your best, and.....I bring my best, and we go get another trophy." Will looks at him and agrees with Finn. He says, "that all seems fair. But I also have a condition." He stretches his hand towards Finn and says, "let's just move past this." Finn takes Will's hands, shakes it and says, "alright." Then they both shake each other's hand as Will pulls Finn closer and then they both hug, which signifies that their feud was done and over with.

So many ominous things happened in this episode which really tie Cory's character full circle. After so much wrong happened in his life he starts embracing party life in college,not the least of which might include substance abuse like what happened to him in real life, and actually constittued Cory's final film role. He reunites with his lifelong best friend. He has one final conversation with Rachel to fuel her drive and inspiration for the rest of her life and promises to see her soon, he gets to sing the song that began his journey(no pun intended) in the show one last time, before he fades as one of Rachels memories. Him and Puck regroup one last time, decided to straighten out their lives, and Finn decides that he will be better than his father who also died of a drug overdose and from whom he tried to redeem, and then he straightens things out with his other best friend, before leaving his hopes and dreams in the future of the glee club that would continue on in his memory, and where his face and spirit would be etched into the glee club forevermore. Can't imagine a more fitting final episode for his character

Its so heartbreaking, this season really shows what the next era of Glee was supposed to be, Finn was basically Will for the meat of season 4 and it seemed like the natural direction was for him to take over his role. Much like the OG Glee kids graduating and moving on, Will seemed to be graduating from his role as well. Finn was more "Will Schuester" to the new kids (Marley, Unique, Jake ect.) than Will Schuester himself, and the episode sweet dreams really showed that Finn was the mentor the new kids looked up to, not Will. He was building connections with all the teachers and even Sue Sylvestor was beginning to respect the worthy adversary Finn Hudson was to her by the end there.

Will was mad because Finn kissed Emma, which was a dumb move on Finn’s part. And I think he looks at Finn like a son, they have a special relationship

@Caleb Mayfield No, I mean, why wasn't _Finn_ back at the school since this episode when he said he would be. I'm looking for an answer besides, "Because Cory was on rehab," since Cory doesn't exist in Glee's universe. Does that make more sense?

@ John Rainsman my guess? Off screen Finn did come back and maybe did things over the phone, email, etc. We just never saw him because Cory was working to get better. Rest In Peace and much love to Cory and the beloved Quarterback
