There was a shoutout to Kurt in the song though. They talked about being shoved into lockers. That was one of the things Kurt struggled with the most with the bullying that made him transfer. Being shoved into the lockers, every day, for weeks and weeks. So at least there's a part that puts him there in spirit, even if he couldn't be on the stage to sing that verse.

One of my absolute favorite performances. They joy in which they sang this song, just embracing everything everyone hates them for and loving themselves for it. The confetti part is great. I remember when I watched it the first time, I just knew how to cry.
