It should be remembered that Mark Salling did not himself physically harm any children. He was just looking at images he should not have. He had a string of extremely arrractive adult girlfriends, and full-on pedos are not usually interested in adults. People can be stressed and depressed without realising it; they just start feeling strange feelings, thinking strange thoughts and doing strange things. Being plucked from obscurity to world fame can be an extremely stressful experience. His friend Cory Monteith dealt with it by abusing substances, some become violent and have breakdowns. It's possible to interpret Salling's behaviour as a result of an inability to cope. It's known that paedophilia can be a "phase" some men go through in difficult times. The big issue is men's mental health. Despite all the psychiatry, counselling etc available today, men _still_ find it difficult to talk about their feelings.
