Whenever someone "dies" I don't believe it. I just keep thinking they are still alive somewhere. Like cory. He is just taking a long term break

+Angie Cruz Get real--he's dead and he isn't coming back. He made his choice and no amount of your philosophy will change that.
@misscoolgirl729 жыл бұрын
+Kurt Baumann Everyone has different ways of grieving, you have no right to judge anyone's, she shouldn't 'get real' she should have the right to grieve her own way. And Cory didn't 'make a choice', if you think he did, then I don't know what you are doing here
@kurtbaumann76869 жыл бұрын
+Ena Fazlagic I'm sorry. I was mad at him because he seemed to have everything--including Lea Michele's love. We should all be so lucky. I lived a life similar to Lauren Potter and had to fight for what I got. Maybe he didn't mean to retreat into that high--but he caused the people who cared about him a lot of pain. He had a lot more than most people had and he loses it to a jones. He did make his choice when he was 13 and decided to use. That decided how he would live his life and how it would end.

@@kurtbaumann7686 im sorry, choice? no cory did not want to die or be an addict, he passed away of an accidental overdose
@elegantseeker88554 жыл бұрын
@@kurtbaumann7686 Aww, it's okay to be mad. I totally understand what you are saying, but we also have to sympathize with Cory. He was probably in a very dark place when he did what he did. As much pain as he caused everyone, including me and so many fans, co workers, etc., we can't change the past. We can learn from the past, though. This is why we have hotline numbers, suicide prevention and drug rehab centers and all we can do is support them and hope nothing like this happens again. If that is Angie's way of grieving, we need to respect it and move on.

Deeply saddened by the loss of such a bright, talented and kind young man. You will be missed Cory. I have family that battles with addiction, and I hope that this message brings some light to this dark moment and others like him seek help for their own addiction. If you are struggling, remember everyone is loved by someone. Someone out there loves you and would be less without you in their lives. Love yourself and don't ever lose hope or stop trying, please.

I wish so much that they had intervened earlier. It was obvious that he was in big trouble by the middle of the 4th season, having lost an alarming amount of weight and appearing sweaty in most of his.scenes. They should have left Finn in the army and sent Cory into rehab for whatever length of time it took for him to get clean safely. A month in rehab is not enough. And what kind of aftercare did he get? He seems to have been alone at his greatest hour of need.So so sad.
@ashleighdean69435 жыл бұрын
They tried to intervene. That why Cory disappeared during the 4th season randomly. They constantly talked to him about him needing to get help. They tried numerous times, but he wouldn’t listen. You can’t force someone into doing something that they don’t want to do. It has to be their choice, otherwise what’s the point? It’d be half hearted and you’ve got to have that want to get better. So they did intervene. The video during series three, the one where a Finn finds out how his dad actually died, they tried to use that as an example to what could happen to him. They tried, but just sometimes, it just isn’t enough. 💔❤️

It's called an addiction for a reason...quiting isn't as simple as just deciding to stop on day it's a fight and unfortunately he lost the fight.

Cory said in one of his earlier interviews, when it came out that he'd decided to put himself into rehab, "I'm not Finn Hudson" - That's the problem. We expect them to be perfect, and they can never get there, hence the escapism and depression. So really, it's *our* fault - all of us who watch Glee etc and make them feel like this... (Sorry about the three part comment)

How many times did Monteith lie to Lea Michele and to everyone else saying he was getting better? How many times did he lie to himself? The sad thing is that his death was a done deal the day he started using I wish that he would have had Lauren Potter's courage to tell everyone the truth about what was going on with himself. I wish he didn't feel that he could retreat in that last high.

Have a look at chow many young actors are drug addicts - Amy Winehouse, Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone, Richie Rich), Amanda Bynes (She's the man) etc etc. Then when they are addicted, rehab centres treat the addiction rather than the reason why they got addicted in the first place - the real addiction to cure isn't the physical one, it's the addiction to escapism.

recasting Finn wouldn't work. the audience wouldn't prove and nor would i, we've had 4 seasons worth of Cory so to change him now just because of the circumstances wouldn't be okay. and they do bring in new characters, just none of them will be able to replace Finn's character. besides this isn't two and a half men, this is Glee.

Well, yeah. It's so sad he's died. And it's not mainly a bad reflection on him - yeah it's bad that he got into using illegal things, but really it's a bad reflection on the way our western society treats drug addiction, and the way Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general runs.
