What this clip fails to include (because the screen has been cut) is the flower with one petal in his hand at the end. Finn made an entire speech to Rachel about her "modern relationship" with Brody, claiming (truthfully, even Rachel knows it) that Rachel was in love with someone else (obviously him, Finn). He weaves "she loves me, she loves me not" into the pauses between sentences in this exchange, and here he is left with one final petal (right after saying "she loves me not", so this last petal would mean "she loves [Finn]"). Rachel leaves, but then comes back and delicately takes the last petal (where you see Finn smile), which means Rachel accepts that she loves him.

I feel like them together really shows the kind of guy Finn was in the show, regardless of him being the 'quarterback' and her being quite unpopular and freakish, esp. at the beginning of the show, he really got to know Rachel and did fall in love with her. Finn brought out Rachel's down to earth side and Rachel brought out the hardest and most inspiring Finn. This is my favourite performance to watch but also the most heartbreaking. They truly are 'endgame' and the way they look at each other, you can tell that's real love and not just acting. RIP Cory.

I'm deeply saddened by Cory's death and Glee was never the same to me but, somehow, the fact that this is the last song Finn and Rachel sang together puts a little smile on my face. I mean, just listen to the lyrics. The song is about seizing the day and being grateful for each moment you have left, it's about being present, regardless of what tomorrow will bring. That's the way I see it. Their love story is so tragic yet so inspiring and it has had such an impact on me but this duet is the one thing that reminds me that, sometimes, you can give someone forever within numbered days. Trust Me, I know what it's like.. Going through Losing the Love of Your Life is the most awful, shocking, indescribable pain that I have ever experienced.. It's been about 7 1/2 months since my Love passed.. We were together for almost 11 Years.. I was 21 when we met, He literally asked me to Marry him 10 days after we met, and we were officially Engaged exactly 20 days after that, and now I'm 32 years old, we were never officially married with a piece of paper, but we had said vows to each other and believed in God's eyes we were Husband and Wife, we wanted to save to get Married in the Bahamas, that was what I had wanted, we had so many plans ahead of us.. Then I juat wanted to Marry him finally, and I thought just to go Down the Shore and get Married on the Beach there and have whoever we wanted there.. we had 10 years and 7 months Together exactly..We were so Very Happy, so Much In Love.. In Episode 3 of Season 5 of Glee, the tribute episode to Cory Monteith, the Quarterback I believe it's called, There is a scene between Rachel/Lea and to Matthew/Will/Mr. Shue, what she says to him of how she's feeling, it could have been word for word what I said to people just months earlier and I never seen the show before, so I know it was really Lea speaking through her character in that scene especially.. I had only recently watched Glee for the very first time this past February-March on Netflix.. My Mom and I made it a Marathon.. Watching her in that episode, I felt Her pain, My own pain.. And surprising watching Glee, it had actually Helped me.. Music was literally a Huge deal to my Husband, he was a very talented Musician and Singer.. I had him actually teach me how to sing in the months before He passed away.. and Music has helped me so much deal with my pain, anger, depression in a healthy way.. Well I've shared quite a bit, but if you go up to the search bar here on KZbin and type, Glee 5x03 Rachel, you will see what she says before she sings to her friends and what she says to Will, it is the Real Deal, the whole episode is.. the clips of fanmade scenes are really wonderful..
