I agree, actually! In reality, a school like NYADA really probably only made sense for someone like Rachel, who was 110% dead set on Broadway specifically from day one and had absolutely zero desire to try anything else. But for Kurt and Blaine (maybe even especially Kurt, really), it would have made *sense*, I think, for them to look into other schools that offer great performing arts training but ALSO allow you to study other things alongside that. Kurt always had just as much of a passion for fashion as he did for the arts, and I can totally see Blaine being the type who would genuinely be interested in exploring other things as well. Obviously they both love performing, and I'm sure that would be a focus no matter where they went, but even if Blaine didn't have a specific other interest in mind, it's still always nice to have the option! It's not like he was saying he *didn't* want to do performing arts at all... just that he might want to go somewhere where there would be the option to try other things also.

+Klaine lover​​ i'm so glad a lot of people agree with me and feel the same way. What didn't you like about season 6? My reasons are 1:how they take out all of the newbies (except kitty) just to bring in "new" newbies, right when the show is about to go out. 2: they barely even focused on the "new" newbies, and always made the graduates the main focus, focusing on Rachel and her Auditions (surprise, surprise), on Santana and Brittany getting married, on the klaine relationship, etc. 3: they barely had songs sung by the "new" newbies, especially in the choir room. 4: each episode seemed rushed and dragging on with no really interesting storyline. 5: Quinn only appeared in episodes 2-3 and after that was notably absent with no explanation, especially at Santana and Brittany's wedding. The only good episodes that were there were episodes homecoming, episode 2 (can't remember the title, at the moment), the hurt locker part 2, child star, we built this glee club, 2009 and dreams come true.

You're really missing the point. Blaine cheating was NOT about sex, not really. He felt abandoned (which wasn't completely unresonable) and wanted to feel close to someone. Kurt had been ignoring him and in a heat of a moment he made a mistake and hooked up with that guy. It was about emotional comfort, not sexual drive

okay this is why these two don't work as a couple: one of them is, at long last, telling us what he wants to do with his life, at the very least with alternatives to the performing arts. this tells us stuff about him outside of the fact that he is gay and can sing and dance. a real, more relatable conversation in this regard would involve his partner supporting his endeavors that do not run parallel with something we know he likes to do and helping to find routes towards those endeavors. instead what do they do? more of the excruciatingly irritating unrealistic lovey-dovey talk that happens in this scene. in this regard, it's almost impossible to relate to Blaine, no matter how much of a pretty-boy he is, and it's actually impossible to see these two as a legitimate couple because of the way they talk to each other. because of this, what has been identified as one of the show's strongest crutches just comes off as boring, repetitive, and nonsensical.

Yeah... but you do know that Blaine only said it to avoid auditioning. He was making excuses, and Kurt saw right through it. Look at the scene; it's pretty obvious he was making that shit up to convince himself he wants to do something else. He surely has other interests, like anybody else, but at this point, he was just being scared and anxious about his audition.

which is understandable, but they could have gone somewhere with it; explore and elaborate on possible alternate routes he could take. that would make him interesting and identifiable. just being scared of an audition for a performing arts university just doesn't seem to speak enough volumes.

But his dream is to perfom. If he really wanted to go somewhere else, he would. But from the beginning of the show, Glee is all about the arts. The writers wanted the characters, the main ones, at least, to get into performing arts. Kurt branch out when he had the intership with Vogue, but really, the show is all about performing. Yes, maybe he could have see what's out there, but the writers seemed to describe the characters as people who knows what they want to do with their lives as soon as they leave high school, and that's fine. Some people really knows what they want.

Why would they expand on it? Blaine was lying. Throughout the show he showed no interest in anything but performing. That's his dream and the whole teacher and doctor things were lies. Why would Kurt help him look into things that he doesn't even want to do and is just saying because he is afraid? that would be something that does make them dysfunctional. instead of kurt seeing through his obvious lies, believing him. or knowing he's scared and going along with it and letting blaine coward in fear instead of encouraging him to chase after he wants.

what I'm saying is that they could have explored other opportunities for him. Finn, Rachel, Kurt, Santana, Artie, Sam, Puck, and to an extent Marley were open to going into other avenues of work not directly correlated with their interests or passions. none of it amounted to much, except in Rachel's case, but it was something. but fine, Blaine was lying. but that doesn't mean they couldn't have gone somewhere with it. go into medical work. that's fine.
