I think it was mid 1965 that Glen gave me my first Ovation it was one of his autograph additions. I still have it today, God I miss that man he was such a great inspiration to my music, we all had our demons in those days. I still miss him today. sleep well my friend.

Wow! What a life. Glen came from a town that was not on the map, no indoor plumbing, no electricity, etc., and reached international super stardom.

Creative and brilliantly talented people are usually troubled and frustrated. I still think of him as a sweet dear person who came from a good family. I've always loved and admired him. We all make mistakes.

Excellent! This compliments his autobio that I've just finished. Thanks for posting this! Humble beginnings to 'superstar' status with all the 'trimmings' and in the end, still a humble guy, wonderful.

Thank you for posting this! I just stumbled across it "by accident." I saw the documentary of his Goodbye tour and see how horrible his end has become through Alzheimers. This is such a nice addition to the story though, cause it makes it easier to see why he might have developed Alzheimers in the first place. God bless him and his family. So cool that he got baptized right there where he nearly drowned.
