It's actually a 1991. Yes, a 6V92TA Detroit Diesel engine. Will likely be for sale in the spring of 2021 -- if interested, leave a comment and we'll share details when it hits the market. Funny story about the engine sound... In some years, we've allowed families with small kids to ride along in the jump seats when we take Santa Claus around to visit neighborhoods, and on most occasions, the kids have been fast asleep within about 20 minutes, even though lights and siren and horns having been going full blast. The theory has been that the engine's sound has the same effect on little kids as a mother cat's purring has on kittens -- no proof of that, of course, but that's the best we can come up with. It is definitely a great-sounding motor!
