Another really good vlog. Really enjoyed it. Fort Augustus is a beautiful place and looked so different without so many people in the evening. The Motorhome park up looks great - I’ve added it to my list. Thanks for the suggestions 😊 Hope you had a good birthday 🎉

Hi Rick and heather a great video as ever and two lovely locations looks like you have had the weather as well! It’s not an area I’ve visited but would love to it looks great and remember seeing the signs for the Caledonian canal when we went to Loch Ness it’s the same there with the tourists Looks like you are having a great time and better weather than we are having down here all the best to you all Daniel

Is it a long way down the road to the bond spot? Imagine it’s a pain if you catch it at a busy time as it looked single track in places. It’s fascinating watching the boats on the canals - have you ever tried it? I quite fancy giving it a go as a one off thing to do. Think you need a lot of patience. Looks like you got some decent weather. Some really fancy boats going along the canal. Hope you had a lovely birthday in Inverness! Hope the weekend has gone ok, nice to see you on Friday. All the very best, David & Rachel 👍

It’s a good couple of miles but it’s ok you get used to the passing places, the Caledonian canal is a busy waterway yes! We really enjoyed it there. Hopefully see you soon ❤️

Happy belated birthday. I’m surprised how busy the canal was. It looked beautiful though. Take care Gill

Hi folks,we used to go to a site just up the road but it is now a fancy holiday park with lodges
@RickandHeather5 ай бұрын
Ahh that’s a shame! Lots of old school sites seem to do that as people expect more, I prefer old school myself!

Hi They chose that location because half way to the end of the Glen Etive road there is a house on the left hand side which was owned by the Fleming family and where some of the Bond stories were written and where Ian Fleming was brought up. I camped in his garden many years ago while doing the Gold D or E expedition!! Hope that clears up the confusion ❤❤.

Ahh fabulous 👍 thanks for clearing that up we appreciate it ❤️

Great video mate, well it was ok 🙂 Could sit and watch canal locks all day long, long as i had a beer 🙂 Yeah agree that park up needs to be better policed, why should you pay £10 when free loaders come over and spoil it for everyone !! See you soon 🙂

Yeah I did rant but cut it out…. I agree sat by the water with a beer just watching is ace, see you in a couple weeks 👍

Great adventures…😳 I’m interested to know if that Motorhome has a torque converter - auto box or is it something different..?
@RickandHeather5 ай бұрын
I’ve no idea….. it’s a nice box though 👍

It’s a shame the chancers took advantage of the four space park up. Some areas of Scotland apparently have it in for Motorhomes/Campervaners and it’s not helped when the chancers take advantage. I’d love to do the NC 500 but I was told a while ago by a Scottish colleague to give it a miss at the moment as the locals are revolting regards travellers.

As with everything Dave, the few spoil it for the many… we play fair though and our conscience is clear. Scotland is way more than the 500 and hopefully this tour shows that, thanks for the comment we appreciate it 🙏

Just catching up with KZbin whilst I have Covid🥲 Looked an amazing spot, Mrs K wants to go away next week and you may have inspired me but I would probably want to take a fat tyre electric bike with me to ride from Loch Ness to Fort William (now that would be a good review) Cheers K.
