Here's a more real upload after all the shitpost lmao. I ain't doing this to attack anyone, please don't take it like that. I'm honestly really happy for people who've found this franchise and are able to reside in it, just like me. For anyone who disagrees, please do it, but in a respectful dignified manner. This is just MY perspective on the character and how it came off to me, maybe in the end I'm wrong. My mind is still always up to being changed! Either way, I hope you enjoy the video.

Maybe it is like because they were once one person sort of they have kept aspects of each other. They lived as one person for a long time. This is a world where souls exist. But Chuckys soul has been split many times. Another theory is Glen is the boy child that we see in seed as he felt more male. Glenda is a newer soul and only lived one existence as a human child. I don't buy that though. The theory that makes sense to me is Glen and Glenda were inhabiting one doll as two seperate souls. Or he had one soul and it split into two different babies. Two different aspects of one soul split in two. Chucky has several different parts of himself all over the place. And though the essence is there. They are showing different personalities

See I'd believe that if the split personality thing wasn't happening since before he met his parents in seed. Glen was the dominant personality but Glenda was always there. His parents naming convention was just easiest way to divide it all up. Though to be fair if they wanted to have a gender fluid character Glen was probably the best choice.

So the show is pushing the canon of they/them but what is confusing me is that Glen/Glenda seem to have forgotten they were ever a doll. They have little to no memory of Chucky and thought he was a deadbeat that skipped out on them. But it's contradictory to the end of seed where little Glen clearly remembers having been a doll and how Chucky "Still loved him" This is also weird considering how Tiffany was helping him so much in Cult, Curse, and season 1 of the series. Idk sometimes I don't think Don always puts his puzzle pieces together the right way. The only way I see it working now is if something traumatized Glen and Glenda into forgetting Chucky. And maybe at best they decided the only way Chucky could keep being in their lives is if the kids thought that he was just a doll. At least until they got sent off to a boarding school.

Also it's not just Chucky himself(like the character) who describes Glen/Glenda as genderfluid people who have worked on the show have described them as genderfluid aswell (for example I'm pretty sure Jennifer Tilly has reposted pride month art of Glen/Glenda holding a genderfluid flag aswell as described them as genderfluid on the official Tiffany account) not only are they not genderfluid but in the newer episodes of the series they literally say that they are both non-binary and use they/them pronouns which is different then being genderfluid Idk I've just always found the whole thing kinda silly how people keep saying they are genderfluid when they literally aren't 💀(also the Chucky series already has lgbtq rep, tiffany is bisexual as said by her actor Jennifer Tilly before)

I know I don’t know the full extent of it, and I’m honestly trying to understand as much as I can clearly but isn’t gender-fluid like their feelings/expressions of themselves (can) sort of fluctuate between who/whatever they feel inside? Besides, if Don Mancini wrote it that way as Chucky acknowledges them as such, then they must be gender-fluid just as much as they are non-binary. It certainly appears to be so. 1st episode Glen is rather shy-ish and quiet, grunge style/expression clothes, the day after they express frustration and confusion, slightly higher pitch voice as such, definitely appeared to be a lot of mixed feelings going on there. Glenda I find a bit difficult to read except for pretty much being confident and outspoken as well as punctual aside from their glam fashion style, but I think also expresses different tones.

And like I said with the license plate, it is totally possible that Don will retcon their gender identities. Retcons are common in franchises. Even the Chucky Franchise retconned the night Charles died. But either way, it doesn't matter too much. Just as long as season 2 is entertaining.

See when I heard that myself I was very confused, I took it as Tiffany was in doll form, she was meant to bare twins but being tiny she had two spirits in one body. I took it as Glen was his own spirit and Glenda her own and kinda fight in away for control of the doll body, she even stated that she was a "bonified bonus baby". Sure, the movie blatantly shows that whenever they dress as a girl it IS Glenda in control of the body, but that doesn't invalidate the fact that Glen could have said he sometimes feels like a girl because he actually did even when Glenda was not in control. Just because they ended in male and female bodies doesn't mean that's what they were supposed to be. The Glen half (?, We don't know if it was only one soul trapped in that body that got split or two different souls) is gender fluid, while the Glenda half isn't. I don't know why are you treating them both as the same person, when at this point they're two different people.

@@tylerlyons1812 i did, he goes on about how it's more likely to be DID than genderfluid, but that's already debunked since there's two souls sharing the body, they swap fronting (opening scene where they kill the family, and the firing of joan). both souls are genderfluid, and go by they/them, confirmed in Chucky series, plus the end of Seed, both twins get a soul. it's the same situation as Nica and Chucky, one is able to come forward if strong enough, so Glen thought their nightmares weren't real, but Glenda was taking the body to kill.

Here’s how I took it, Glen/Glenda(doll) was very clear that they didn’t know what they were. It’s also clear that they were a bit psychotic. Almost like a split personality, so splitting them up at the end of them film. Was done which confuses everyone. Glen a sweet innocent child, Glenda the evil violent one. When we meet them Glen is still gender fluid whole Glenda is more femme. I think they both still identify with they/them pronouns. It’s kind of very clear at this point that the soul can be split. Chucky had like four in Curse. They are one being who identifies as gender fluid.

I kind of thought the same thing you did. That putting them each in a boy girl body would make the gender fluid/non binarything obsolete. But then I figured it out. I remember Jennifer Tilly in an interview saying that the trans community really took Glen and Glenda to heart and related to this character about their struggles with gender. Which was a pretty rare thing to talk about in 2004. So my guess is that making the character gender fluid/non binary is Don Mancinis way of kind of not letting them down if that makes sense? Or maybe it's just pandering. Watching Glen and Glenda on the TV series, they feel more like characters from a fan fiction than actual people.

In the case of DID you could also possibly still say that Glen/Glenda was possibly genderfluid or felt genderfluid but they might have had trauma related to it that might have caused, contributed to or exacerbated D.I.D and or the trauma related to possibly being gender fluid might have also possibly been what caused there soul to split into two people in the first place even if Glen/Glenda might have always felt that the Glen side more so represented a larger aspect of who they overall were and that the Glen side was always more dominant so maybe theres still room for D.I.D being gender fluid and a literal splitting of the soul which might have occurred at some point all being aspects which make up what Glen/Glenda is.

After watching episode 4 Season 2, this is how I see it. Even separated, they are two halves of the same whole. Having DID doesn't mean "multiples souls in one body" you're one soul with something going on in your head. At the end of Seed they were young kids, their closet and things in their room mostly controlled by their mom. As they grew they began feeling the dysphoria of being the opposite side of the coin (Glen being fem and Glenda being masc) while both accepting non-binary pronouns. As for the applause on queer leads, as a gay man myself, I don't specifically jump up and down when I see it, though I'm happy and don't blame others for doing so because people DO still get mad when a gay character is given a love interest and their love and identity is a part of the story. Romance subplots are often still only seen as necessary when they're straight ones, if they're queer, people ask why it's needed. Well, because queer people exist and deserve lead roles too.

Hey, a person with DID here. The body has male, female and nonbinary head mates. I am the host of the body so I front most of the time. And I tell yuh, having all these identities, genders, and pronouns in one body can influence the host into believing they are “genderfluid”. Especially when you don’t know the body has other alters. So you think it’s all you when it is just multiple people. So, I am nonbinary(which is an umbrella term). I don’t feel gender most of the time. Maybe because in the headspace I am an intergalactic being. The other small percent of the time I feel like a girl and the other time a boy. So I labeled myself genderfluid. This was not the case though. And, I am not saying hosts of a system can’t be genderfluid or that if you feel genderfluid than you are a system with DID or OSDD. This is my personal experiences. It is also totally possible to identify as one thing, then to change the next or over time. I would also like to state again that nonbinary is an umbrella term. And under nonbinary is genderqueer, bigender, pangender, Agender, demiboy, demigirl, genderflux and GENDERFLUID. I’m sure there is more, I just don’t know them. Nonbinary people can use any pronoun, use any label, present any way(Glen and Glenda dress androgynous. Just because someone is nonbinary doesn’t mean they are a system, gender and smex are not the same thing, gender and pronouns are fluid and ever changing and can’t be put into a box by societal “norms”. LGBTQIA+ people can be happy and not be smexual or ped0s. And we learned that no one likes transphobes or homophobes and that people can identify and dress however they want as long as it is not hurting anyone. And that people do not get the right to tell others how to identify, dress or express themselves. Please before making a “rant video”, do research on the history of the LGBTQIA+ community(this includes in media). Research DID, OSDD, PDID and then research people who have the disorders because each disorder is different with some overlapping qualities and manifests differently from person to person. Research the things that maybe offensive for each community like harmful sayings or stereotypes or what would be considered mockery in those communities(people who are not a part of those communities are not allowed to tell them what is or isn’t offensive). It would be worth it to research the differences between s3x, s3xuality, gender, and pronouns. If something confuses you, instead of rushing to make a video try sitting with your thoughts for a bit, use social media to get an idea or solutions on your questions. It helps with not looking so ignorant. I would not put it past Glen/Glenda to have DID/OSDD. They grew up traumatized and that’s how we got the both of them.

Okay this is not about homophobia, this is about a movie's plot cause this is just getting too confusing! Glenda isn't non-binary and I have reasons to believe so. Glen however is gender fluid and I'm standing correct with this theory because of two lines from the movie "Seed of Chucky". You see Glen had said "Sometimes I feel like a boy, sometimes I feel like a girl, can I be both" clearly, they are non-binary. BUT Glenda had said "I am a lady killer" clearly recognised herself as a female. So my point is, they were twins but Tiffany as a doll couldn't carry two babies so they had their souls in one body but they were thinking and feeling separately and they were putting the one to sleep so the other would be able to come to life and do their thing. Glenda was a girl, Glen was gender fluid! It's easy honestly and it angers me how they ruined Glenda's character in the series, not because of her sexuality or gender but because she wasn't the bloodthirsty killer we saw in the movie you know?..

After watching the season 2 trailer and seeing Glen n Glenda both look like girls, it makes sense what Chucky said last season. He does have a gender fluid child. It's Glen with the long hair. You can tell for 2 reasons. 1. He is dressed in the purple and black outfit. 2. He says "Mom's a murderer? I think Glen at some point felt like a girl, and grew his hair out and is a girl now just like his sister. Since they are now played by the same actress, they are identical twins now. At some point they probably took over the bodies of 2 identical twin girls. Who knows. We will find out soon enough.

There were no two souls, that’s a fan theory that’s not supported by the narrative. Glen chooses to transfer his soul into the boy body. Glenda (the human) is just Jennifer Tilly and Chucky’s baby all grown up. The movie presents the Glenda person as being the product of a mental breakdown. If they wanted to suggest that a separate person was in his body they could have had Glen say that he used to black out and wake up around dead bodies and that’s why he and Psychs had to move around a lot or something. That way, later on, we would know his blackouts were actually Glenda taking control and killing.
