You had superb conditions and Light, John, and lovely contrasty light-to-dark images of the Mountains. I was in Glencoe, Glen Etive, and Glen Orchy just over a week ago and also got some of the best light in years. When the Light is with you, it is just magical.

Thanks Douglas. Funnily enough I'd planned to head to Glen Orchy after this shoot but time got the better of me (as always!) and I decided to leave that for next time I'm up that way. Hope you got some great shots?

@@JohnMcKennaPhotography Thanks, John, pure luck in Glen Orchy as the Sunset over the River an amazing Orange Mist descended and the light through the woodland had me jumping about like a headless chicken, I already have a few on the wall.

Great video again mate love the peak close ups in particular. Strange to see those falls with hardly any water running over them!

Thanks Simon! Yeh i was expecting a lot more water as it had rained quite a bit a few days earlier. Always a great spot though!

Crackin shots. I especially like the ones just of the peaks, although the shot early on with the green water at the bottom right also stood out for me.

I’m not surprised you had to stop there John the light on the ridge was fantastic and you have certainly made the most of it the shots were really really good. I used to carry a flashgun but like you it was added weight and space in my bag and I’m too old for all that now😀Oh and look forward to the video on processing.
@JohnMcKennaPhotography2 күн бұрын
Thanks Malcolm. I've got a flashgun in the camera bag now - although it's not been used since I started taking it out again!

Hi John, you bagged some lovely images of the waterfall and mountains. I did not know that waterfall was there will have to give it a visit next time I’m there. That was a cold morning. Well done. 👍

I love the fact that you could pivot so readily to something other than your initial plan! A good lesson for the rest of us! The images were beautiful. I'm always struck by the difference between the images as shown in the video and the finished photos. The final images always have such rich colors. The nuance of the rusts and browns and grays on the hillsides in the final images adds so much depth and context to the water and the frost. Thanks again for a wonderful video. Jim.

I've never taken images of the falls from that side. Always been on the other side, on the road to the Clachaig Inn. Just back from Glencoe and did notice that new path as we whizzed past in the car... looks like I'll be having an explore next time I'm up there 👍

@@garrysugdenphotography yeh ive shot them from Clachaig road too but i prefer them on this side as it allows you to include the ridge. Hope you got some great shots? I'll keep an eye out for the video!

@ Didn’t do a great amount of video stuff for my channel but shot a load of B-roll for the rest of the group I was with. As always Scotland welcomed us and rewarded us with its amazing scenery. Not even started looking at my images yet but hopefully some good one to do it justice.
