Gotta thankyou for tabs of songs like this. As a beginner Guitarist, its hard to find beginner to intermediate level guitar songs for someone who is 8 months in. Most tabs I find online are for people that have already spent years learning with solos that are indomitable to learn.. but this song is perfect. my soloing is decent as I used to be a Bass Player so the Solo was no bother. but the Pre Chorus and Chorus has forced me to get comfortable with multiple techniques in short bursts, The Prechorus has me focusing on chord Voicings, like the Open D Chord, with the Addition of the G. how I pick my strings and accuracy with the Harmonics. Its also got me focused on lifting my Palm mute on my guitar. The Transition is helping me get used to changing the pickups on my guitar. Neck bending techniques (that I occasionally cheat with and use my trem bar) and the Chorus with its funky syncopated Rhythm and the blistering speed. has me slowing the song down to 60% speed to tackle it. The Hammer on Chords going up to the 12th fret have got me working on my index finger Bar technique too. Cory Wong Eat your heart out kind of song. and I love it. There's so much fun stuff to learn in this song, It doesnt pose a ginormous challenge to beginner to intermediate guitarists and was relatively easy to sight-read the tab when my Dad showed me this song a few weeks ago.

Back in high school, must have been around 1986, I got our high school wind ensemble band teacher to include this song in one of our recitals. I was alto saxophone first chair so it was completely not self-serving, lol. I think Frey's version might have been recorded with a tenor sax, though, can't remember for sure...

The second note in the sax line is incorrect. Should be an E (9th ftret of 3rd string) instead of D at 12th Fret of 4th string. Great TAB otherwise.
