I was 14 but have older siblings. My brother played this a lot circa ‘82 in the PH. He’s gone now and this song reminds me of him during the time he was going to La Salle. 1983 came and the family moved to SF. Haven’t heard this in a verrrrry long time until last night. A live band covered it and I said, “wait, I know this song. Is it OPM?” Not, lol but I guess it reminded me of my time in the motherland.

It's never too late. There are books and lessons on here... also saxophone aren't very expensive... They LOOK complex, but aren't very hard to play. Hard to MASTER, but not hard to play. I played this song as a kid.

Hey, I saw an INTERESTING comment in this thread, and it called to mind an interesting reason to add this comment... anyone who sees MY comment and has trouble looking for a song... try just typing in PART OF the lyrics into the YT search bar... it's likely to come up... there was a song in the 1980s called "Make My Life With You" by the Oak Ridge Boys... I LOVED that song as a kid... and I almost went INSANE trying to find it... I called country stations as a kid/young adult (in 2 STATES, NY and GA!!!), I stopped by record stores (a particularly funny episode of Married With Children leaps to mind where they were trying to find "Go with Him"...). Anyway, the Chorus "Isn't life lived separately, is life all it ought to be... oh, if it were up to me, I'd make my life... with you!" I sang it correctly, and yet, although it's one of their BIGGER HITS, nobody knew it... somehow 🤬. So in 2021, while bored, I just said, "Well, TO HECK WITH IT, and just typed stray lyrics into the YT search bar and voila... magic! So, as of April 30, 2021, I found it. Since then, if I am EVER CONFUSED, I just begin typing lyrics until either it doesn't come up or does. And if that doesn't work, there's always Shazam 🤣🥰🤣
