I can't explain how refreshing it was to hear this man say he doesn't read music or have much understanding of music theory. I'm the same way. It's difficult working with other musicians, especially when they say something that's simple to them but means nothing to me and they look down on me for not knowing a specific scale or something. I write my music by exploring the fret-board and finding what sounds nice. It actually feels very rewarding when receiving positive feedback and is fun to do. Nice to know I'm not the only long time musician like this! I have to get me that capo!
