We check out Barry's HT350 Bathurst Monaro, his HK Holden Prem and Ford Cougar convertible.
At Master of Machines, we love cars, in fact, we love anything with wheels or an engine, from American Muscle Cars to Australian Muscle Cars, Race Cars and Classic Cars of all kinds and even Barn Finds. If it's fast, powerful, restored or hidden away in hibernation then we'll cover it, and in most cases, we'll even drive them!

I had a HT Monaro GTS same colour but a 307 with power glide and white interior and it is the biggest regret in my life selling it in 1980. :-(. Love your cars mate your a lucky man thanks for sharing.

That's a beautiful collection Barry has. And that stunning 186 Premier goes to show it doesn't always have to be about how fast you can go...but how you get there. Another brilliant episode Glenn.

I had a ride in a yellow and black 327 Monaro in about 1980. It belonged to a mate of mines older brother. Boy I'll never forget the acceleration. I was sucked into the seat like a jet fighter taking off!

Love these segments Glenn, love the cars of 60’s and 70’s. Had a 68 GTS 186s 4 speed in silver with black interior as a 17yo in 1973. It was a low mile vehicle in great condition and I took great care of it. Seeing these vehicles in great condition evoke great memories. Thanks for sharing them

That premier is awesome. I had a genuine HT Premier wagon with factory GTS dash, centre consul, guards and front brakes. 308 and saginaw that was also Silver Mink. Same preimer interior as this one only in bucksin. It was so comfortable. I sold it to a neighbours son in 1995 and he put it around a telegraph pole with his mates in the car. It went to a wreckers in Wollongong NSW never to be seen again. It would of been a very rare car today.

I love the Aussie classics, the Premier and Monaco etc., but just seeing interior of the Mercury Cougar and I cant help noticing immediately how much more luxurious and premium it looks with those plump seats and the dash and general interior as well as the outside contours. It looks like a Rolls compared to the Holdens. We had pretty pedestrian cars through the 60s and 70s, that’s for sure. The HK color is cool. And same for that HT Monaro in olive with the brass stripes.

@@lonewarrior1543 , when we start production again for 2021 that's the plan! In the meantime we're splitting up content in KZbin bight sizes from original content that included a drive segment, designed for TV episodes of half-hour duration. Great idea though moving forward, and this feedback is a really good thing for our future KZbin style format. Less music and more engine music, plus start ups where we can drive them! :-)

I had a light green HG Kingswood sedan. It was only a 186 manual 3 on tree. I wanted to put a four speed into it as I hated column manuals. I also wanted to work the engine over a bit, but never got around to it. I later got a VK Commodore wagon with six cylinder carb engine. It had a dreadful pinging problem, and the Trimatic played up badly. That green Monaro is the nicest car in the collection.........you owe your mate a lot of cases of 🍺 beer! 😃👍

I wonder how much that Holden Premier has in common with our U.S. GM A body sedans from the late 60s, like the Oldsmobile Cutlass and the Chevelle Malibu. They look definitely related! American here, big fan of Australian cars!

@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines The stories are endless on this subject are they not.I looked at a perfect yellow XU1 for $5000 and passed back in 1987 & while at a party in pinjara ,WA a guy said his brother had a GTR phase 1.5 in the shed. You dont believe me do you.Well I had just read about the phase 1.5 in a magazine so said yes, please show me & sure enough there under a car cover was a Red outside & Black inside Ford GTO phase 1.5. Only 150 where ever made & this one cost the owner only $18,000 about 1988 I think. It was had a Cleveland 351 engine from the factory.Worst still I sold my Torana A9X for only $13,000 in 98 .It was perfect except it did not have the original motor. My only consolation was a rich Guy on a Newman Mine site asked did my A9X have a plastic or fiberglass front end air scoop.I said Fiberglass & he said wrong its fake & hung up on me.When I went out to look he was right but lost the sale. What a loser he turned out to be.
