Heike Barth alias Cyra was the singer of 'Shell and the ocean' in the 80ies. They released only one album. I'll never understand why, but she's almost unknown even in Germany.

Like who did singing Nirvana best? Kurt Cobain or some random other person?) The thing is: Glennis also does her own thing (I am Dutch and she also sings songs in our language) BUT THEN she can also sing other classics like Whitney songs. You cannot compare the two based on 'who sang it best'. Of course Whitney sang Whitney songs best. Duh. Glennis sings every one of her own songs the best. Like Whitney, like Kurt. But then she absolutely nails even the covers she sings. Thát is greatness. Not just be great in your own safe place, but kick ass everywhere and with everyone. That is what makes a great singer for me.
