Just bought the Marvel Select Abomination after looking for him since I first started collecting, and decided to give this video another spin for old times sake. Rest in peace my friend

The Select Abomination has got to be possibly my favorite hulk-sized figure from Select thus far (posed him so much when I first got mine that his arms keep lowering because of the weight). The 2 toed look always gave me a TMNT vibe, so I definitely appreciate the change up to 5. Maybe if the toe-toed version where bird-like claws, then it could be a happy compromise.

I see it as the toes of the Ninja Turtles have an Abomination vibe. I just don't like seeing a character design that classic being changed for no good reason other than the makers of the figure didn't pay attention. It's like giving Nightcrawler 5 toes. Just wrong and poops on the legacy of the character

Glenn Webb One look that I think sort of nailed a good design of the 2 toes was the Abomination from Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. The only negative though was that version was as naked as a naked mole rat. XD

While I do agree that the 2-toed look is very reminiscent of TMNT (I grew up watching the cartoon and original movies. I was born in 1987, so I'm right around the age where TMNT was HUGE when I was a kid), Abomination first appeared in comic books in 1967. The very first TMNT comic book was released in 1984, so in a way, Abomination was the originator of the 2 toes. :) But yeah, I still see what you're saying - it's hard to not picture TMNT whenever you see 2 toes on a character.

The Select version is not only the clear winner of this group but one of the best sculpts I've seen from any figure at any size. I don't care about the 5 toes because it gives us more of those awesome claws. Aside from the Select Juggernaut, it doesn't get any better than this! Nice comparison.

You bet right. No I don't think Hulk, Spider-Man or Wolverine are possible. Because those characters have had hundreds of action figures over the years. Which is why I did the black costume spidey evolution as a way of limiting it

some times in the comics artest will draw abomination with more the 2 toes, i have seen him with 3, and 4 toes but never more then that. The feet on the fig may be a nod to that?

the second movie villain was Flux not Abomination.. they botched it all up. he had Fluxes appearance and the constant changing of the character... but decided to go with Blonsky as Abomination instead... I dont get it he didnt look anything like Abomination and I actually thought til the credits rolled that it was Flux.
