summary of the video with the time for reference:
1.Flexion Extension 1:00
-occurs around coronal axis
-flexion is 120 degrees
-extension is 50 degrees
2.Abduction Adduction 1:30
-occurs around antero posterior axis
-external rotation has greater range of motion compared to internal rotation range
-passive range is about 90 to 120 degrees
3.Medial and lateral rotation 3:13
-occur s around longitudinal axis
-total range is 60 degree with arm at side
-total range is 120 with arm at 90 degree
4. scaption is elevation of humerus in plane of scapula 4:19
5.during elevation and abduction there is instantaneous axis of rotation
inferior glide of humerus occurs which prevents impingement
humerus translates excessively during passive movement where as it translates very less during active movements
this tells that activity of rotator cuff help to stabilize the shoulder joint
4:40
6.shoulder joint capsule has minimal stabilization and during medial rotation if this capsule is tight it wont allow posterior translation of humerus and can be a reason for impingement of structures.
