Glenroy Foxtrot Sequence Dance Walkthrough and Demonstration

I have lost count of how many times I have watched Les and Pat doing Glenroy Foxtrot and Black Knight Tango. I was a beginner to Ballroom when I first tried to learn from them. After 4 years of private lessons, now I'm a Gold Medallist and International Dancesport Masters Champ and keep coming back for a peek and some inspiration. Can't fault them. They are true Professionals. I feel they're my Teachers. Wish I could have the honour of participating in a live Class.

I was born in 1960 so at school disco we danced to Motown and pop music, at 42 years of age I got divorced and said, "so what now", I took up ballroom and latin and had a wonderful 10 years, and Madame Samba clips are my favourite!

I was talking to wonderful Pat and Les just last night, Friday 22nd. Both well. (I am arranging to soon have up another well known couple's demo of The Fragrance Foxtrot - hopefully .Finger's crossed and grateful in anticipation.)

"You all should pop out and buy their videos. A captivating performance of the classic Glenroy....". Of course 'videos' no longer available. I was able to 'borrow'" the last public library holding of three or four of the original VHS V/tapes from a certain Public Library. They were to be destroyed (along with all other V/tapes) - sinful. Not to be commercially transferred to DVD, according to Pa and Les themselves. Yesterday we enjoyed dancing at their very pleasant Mulgrave Tea Dance. Super. They are both fine.

Hello again Laurie. My, you do get around. Is that you on Facebook uploading those fascinating war history videos from Darwin? A shame the tapes made by Pat and Les will not be transferred to DVD but Madame can assume many have their own private DVD copies. They are part of Australian sequence dance history and what a disaster if their recorded sequence dance demonstrations and lessons were lost.

Madame Samba Spot on Madam S. All present and correct. We will be seeing them in less than 24hrs. Now, just how do you know of my Facebook presence? Mmmm. Elementary my dear Watsoff! Facebook is a wide open world but ... :-) anyway, lots of fun! Just enter a name in Search and - Bingo! I will pass on my good wishes to our dear friends out at Mulgrave tomorrow night. I have just been running off a different VHS dance tape to DVD. Not the same but OK. I'm 'Friends' with a couple of UK Sequence Dance Groups - which you probably know about!!?? The Sequence scene a bit uhappy there? ... 'Bye for now and ... 'Happy Dancing'. Laurie.

Update, after Wednesday night dance, run very enjoyably as usual by Les and Pat, I have been informed that the original tapes still exist and if requested DVD copies can be made available through them. DVDs will not be found in public libraries. .. Tread your own path.

Thanks for the update. Sequence dancing needs dancers like Pat and Les and it is great to see their sequence dance videos are still available.

Well thank you dear. Madame Samba appreciates your comment and is delighted someone else recognises the contribution to dance made by these wonderful dance couples who have brought sequence dancing into our homes for us to enjoy. Some more vids to come soon.
