could you make a video shooting it at a range? I have been contemplating getting one in 30.06 but I haven't really found much on it. I'd like to see just how it handles.

I have one myself it likes the Winchester PowerPoint. You may come across one single loading a misfire. It’s kind of like a light strike on the primer. The darn thing is a tax driver is very accurate.

@@dylanhummel2274 only way that would be possible if it didn't go completely into battery, or you've got a defective hammer spring. I'm using a drop in timney trigger. Zero issues so far with that trigger and off the shelf offerings.

Have you had any problems with it jamming? Mine has had 2 different jams. The first one is it's not ejecting the first round. When i put a full 5 round mag with one in the chamber. And the second jame the receiver will the push the round inside the barrel. I cant even pull it back.

@@davidwathen4592 I don't have either of those issues. Granted I've only got 80 rounds through it. Got six different types of ammo here waiting on time and weather to find out what it groups best with. I have zero regrets with this rifle

@nathan00campbell thank you so much. I probably going to have to contact glfa and see what there thoughts r on it. I do love the rifle little heavy but nice to carry. And when it shoots. The power it has. If I didn't have the jamming I do it would be a 10 out 10. Until it's fixed. It's a 9. I appreciate you time. And hope you have a grate Sunday.

@davidwathen4592 I actually know of two others that own one of these and that's what made me make the purchase. Both of their rifles, function just the same as mine. All three examples I've gotten to see in person. Two friends and my personal one. They're all gassed exactly the same. Spent the casings go directly 90° from the ejection port. And they all landed a nice neat little pile. Pretty consistent. All three have the same quirk with the magazine though, when you load the 5th round make sure the back of the round didn't end up on top of the back of the magazine. It can cause feed issue. Kind of hard to explain but when you're looking down directly at the top of the magazine feed lips, in between the feed lips at the back of the magazine is like a shelf in the magazine. If the round is sitting on top of that it causes problems.

@nathan00campbell thank you. I just shot a full mag. And didn't have any problems until the last round. But I got somewhere.

Does your bolt catch, bolt release have a spring, just picked up my GLFA 300 and the catch is not spring loaded, not Sure if that’s by design.
@nathan00campbell
@nathan00campbell 13 күн бұрын
@@debra81599 mine has all the exact same features and details you would expect from any standard AR platform. So yes there is a spring and plunger behind the bolt catch. Not trying to insult you, but be sure when the upper and lower is separated, the hammer is locked back while checking it. The hammer may be resting against the bolt catch giving the illusion that there isn't a spring there.

@ thanks for the reply, I did reach out to GLFA and they confirmed there should be one, so they sent me out a replacement, but it turns out the plunger was stuck on a piece of metal burr.

How’s it grouping? 30.06 in a AR10 platform is really intriguing lol.

@@cauliflowerears5240 waiting on parts and weather. Just got the optic mounted up last night. Nothing but wind and rain right now. Waiting on grip, Timney trigger, and Luth AR buttstock. Forecast shows rain all the way till Friday so my parts will most likely be in long before the weather clears. Trust me it's driving me nuts too

I am not familiar with this company at all. It seems very affordable for what they offer concerned about things like reliability qualities so one so forth please advise.

@@ericshindler5829 haven't really had time to put anything on KZbin about it but it's a great rifle so far. But I'm still less than 200 rounds through it so there is that. Out of the box it came perfectly gassed. And I have had absolutely zero issues. But of course this isn't the type of rifle I plan to put a high round count through in a short period of time. Especially with the five round magazine. To me it's just a very light recoiling semi-automatic hunting rifle. As for the brand I never heard of it before seeing this on the shelf at a local gun shop. I knew about Nebo and a couple others. But would never pay their prices for what it is either. These rifles are almost completely proprietary. I did find that a2 style stocks are interchangeable, grips are interchangeable, and drop in triggers do work. Beyond that and a lower parts kit, I don't think anything else is interchangeable. Currently looking at charging handles as they appear to be DPMS pattern and looking at hand guards to see if there is any options there. Finish on it is easily scratched, but beyond that I don't see any issues.

I have the GLFA 300. Accurate and reliable. Changed the factory break to a four port LMT break. Larue MBT trigger, Tubbs flat wire buffer spring, POF roller cam, Strike Industries extended charging handle lever,Battle Arms Safety, BCM rail covers, Luth PRS stock and grip. Had to install an off set buffer retention pin. There were three marks on the buffer from when the factory test fired. Every thing else was in spec.

@@p47rr I'm going to be going with the same stock, mako ARG43 grip, timney impact trigger, and I haven't decided if I have any reason at all to mess with the buffer or spring. I'll have to look into that roller cam deal to see what that's all about as that's the first I've even heard of it.
@p47rr
@p47rr Ай бұрын
If you buy the POF roller cam. Wait till you have broke in the factory one. BCG all ways leaves marks until it’s broke in. I use mobile one grease on my bcg rails. Oil burns off way too fast. Tubbs buffer springs are amazing. More pressure when bolt is closed. Less pressure in the compressed position. Found on my AR10 rifles could run a lot of different loads. Eliminated case swipe. And gun always would lock back of last round. Guns are less finicky.

I bought one 6.5 creed, fit and finish is absolute garbage. Should have gone with my gut and got a name brand. Lifetime warranty isn't worth anything if company is crap.

@@tonybreeze7734 My upper receiver had burrs everywhere. Took 600 grit sand paper and carefully removed. What is strange to me was the hand guard and lower were fine. It’s crazy to me not to have someone clean up the upper before painting. Trigger pins fit perfectly. Some lowers you can squeeze the trigger when the safety is on. And you will see them wiggle. Barrel crown looks great on mine. Not much play between upper and lower. The barrel on the outside is not the greatest. And the muzzle break has lots of tool marks. Doesn’t hurt the function.
