Interesting lecture and quite detailed, though i have 1 remark: komatiite do exist in more recent Earth history, for instance, Gorgona komatiites of Columbia, they have an age of 0.09 Ga, which makes them the youngest known komatiites (so far). Or komatiites of Song Da, Vietnam, of around 0.25 Ga. The latter one is debated, and yes, in general, komatiite distribution is leaning very heavily toward PR-AR.

Acredito que encontrei um greenstone belts aqui na minha região , pois tenho encontrado rochas arredondadas de aproximadamente 700 kilos , umas próximas a outras...muita rocha metamórfica , madeira petrificada. A região onde moro tem muito carvão do período cretáceo e triassico superior... é uma grande bacia sedimentar , região onde houve muito vulcanismo. A estudos que indicam metais nobres como platina, cobre e níquel.

In both the back arc setting and continental rift setup the volcanism is not submarine then how are we getting pillow basalts. Just curious! Great lecture by the way
