Yeah, I had to cut several clips where there were easily identifiable landmarks. I’m hesitant to add the dates these videos were filmed too because plenty of people have found these spots and I don’t want there to be dozens of people showing those fish lures every day during the couple week window when they’re really active.

This past summer, I found 5 rubber ducks in my little lake out front. They just kept turning up throughout the summer into the fall. The first one I gave to a neighbor, the second serves as a masthead on my kayak, and the other 3 sit on a welcome sign in my yard. Random rubber ducks are always good luck. Great video as always Matt. I learn something every time, like how you used the nose of the yak to extend your net, or even the resistance of the water when it got tangled on the last fish. “Note to self…” Now I just need a decent net.

Oh man that first miss is a heartbreaker as that baby was huge!! Wish we had monsters like here in MD, but we don't well a few if your graced by God but for the most part we don't. At best we have Tiger Musky's but it's rare to actually catch one & that's the only one I've caught here. We do find them sometimes in our Resivours but on the rivers you got to just be lucky. Time to move LOL !!

@NDYakAngler. Could you please weigh one of those Muskie you catch. I am assuming they are somewhere in the 6 to 8 pound range and am curious how close I am. Next, Id like to challenge you to try something. I live in Alberta Canada, moved here 25 years ago from eastern Ontario. Here, you have to either break or file off the barbs on your hooks. You clearly have multiples of the same lures and I know you have a selection of treble hooks stocked at your home. Please try fishing the exact lures, one with barbed hooks, one barbs removed. Myself, I will never go back to barbed hooks as removing your hooks from your catch is so much easier and I don't lose any fish because of no barbs. In the case where a pike or muskie have swallowed your lure, does a lot less damage to their gill plates, less damage, better survival rate. I really hope you give no barb hooks a try as I know you are like myself, just enjoy fishing, and support catch and release. BTW, I am one of those old farts you mention from time to time. Starting fishing when I was five, I am now 67.
