*Additional rules and conditions related to deeplinking in Glide:* 1. If a conditional action prevents a user from accessing a details screen (eg. paywall), that details screen is STILL ACCESSIBLE via the deeplink. 2. If a visibility condition on the TAB for the deeplink prevents a user from accessing the tab, the deeplink will NOT work-instead, users will be directed to the next accessible tab. 3. Great video Robert. I'm setting up a portal for my friends who I am developing an app for. I'd like to include training videos specific for each individual and their app. Can I use the deeplink method to have them view each individual video that pertains to their app please via a specific individual YT link. (I've developed a separate data file titled Videos for each person. And I've now got this working however, the videos cannot be played when clicked. This is the function I'm scratching my head on at present,

Hey thanks for the video, Is there a way to create deeplink for a single page e.g a form and take users input and done. in your examples they all have a full path which a user can use to remove and go back to the previous pages.

Not really. Only way would be really hacky…a bit difficult to describe here but you’d create a temporary details screen, then grab the link, then delete the component that brings them to that screen so if they try navigating back, there won’t be anything to navigate to

If you’re using Airtable, you might want to determine whether you want to use Glides RowID or Airtable’s native record ID

Hi Robert, Tx for this great explainer ! Did you have found a solution to make deeplinks correctly shared on Facebook ? Whenever I share a deeplink, Facebook is still catching the main picture (banner) of the page, and the main title. It never share the "single" picture and title, even if the deeplink send the user right to it. Facebook seems to do not grab the correct metadata (og:image)... Tx for the help !

I'm a little confused.. Isn't the way it works across the web? If I want to send someone to any page on the web, I'll copy and paste the link and share it with that person. I don't see the Flair of the Deeplink. Am I Missing Something?.. Could you please elaborate a little bit more?

If you've installed the app to your device, often you won't see the address bar. Think about using your favorite social media platforms. Each have a deliberate "Share" button for this very purpose. Likewise, you might want to send the deeplink value via a webhook when creating an automated email or message to users (confirmation page, promo page, landing page, etc.)

To clarify- I have created links to various pages (pages in pages) using your method. But when I use the link INSIDE the app (to navigate to that page) the app reloads vs going directly to the target page. I cant seem to figure out how to create navigation links that go to a page inside a page (or module or other page that does not have a direct link - such as those listed when you create a button and the action is "go to tab" THANKS ROBERT. You are the best and I appreciate that you are an educator too!!! Your videos are always helpful

Yes, and no. Yes you can use it to navigate to specific screens, however, they’ll always open up in a new tab which makes the user experience a little wonky.
