Thank you! I lived in Saham Toney between 1967 and 1977 when dad was RN liaison officer at Eastern Radar. Lovely to be able to pick out the landmarks from the air; St Georges church stands out. Wonderful memories.

I did this in 1990 at 20 from Tibenham. The BEST times of my life! I solo'd & went on to power & quit 10 years ago. What a wonderful memory you have there of your little girl getting you up in the sky, precious!!

And I went on to solo 1 year later, then flying my K8a for a couple of years from Shipdham. Best memories as you say.

@@picturesofrafwatton I was at Shipdham last weekend to say my goodbyes. Heartbroken to see it all about to be erased. The control tower, Arrow Air Svs and whatever else they chose to destroy. Go see it while you still can.

@@blackshuck615 Already planned - I want to photograph all the buildings so I can recreate in X-Plane 12. A 2007 build is already incorporated in the sim but I want to make it like is at the end. I am also halfway through building RAF Watton for the same reason - so i can already aero-tow from Shipdham. glide over Watton and land there. Runway is so long even I can land there :)
