As an Autistic girl the way I saw Entrapta throughout the episode is that she knew that they were doing the whole mission to save Glimmer and so therefore thought it was so obvious and went without saying. Instead she was talking about what would come out of the mission *in addition* to saving Glimmer because the other princesses knew about saving Glimmer but Entrapta wanted to share what else the mission would bring, cool tech. Because she didn't mention Glimmer until the end the princesses assumed she didn't care but as we see she DOES CARE but to me she just thought that it went without saying that the reason for the mission is to first and foremost save Glimmer.

In season 1, we only got a glimpse about how Entrapta fit in with the other princesses (or rather didn't fit in). I'm really happy that the creators took the time to have them go on a mission together where they can learn to accept her for who she is. It's also really important to show that while Entrapta values science over anything, she still does care for her camarades, even if she isn't good at showing it. This is some good autistic representation.

I think it also shows the importance of being able to accept yourself, while still taking accountability for your actions. Like she did get a bit self-deprecating, but for the most part, she recognized something she was doing was actively hurting her peers, and sought to work it into something productive and helpful. I think that's a fantastic thing, as it shows you don't always have to change who you are at your core to improve.

As an autistic, I still don’t like how Entrapta’s behaviors are exaggerated and treated as comic relief most of the time or how she’s occasionally even infantilized, but she’s still better than most autistic representation out there. It’s a step in the right direction for sure.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bow is a genuinely amazing friend and this episode is just further proof of that. Despite everything going wrong and the Rebellion needing Adora to be a leader, Bow still prioritises Adora's health over everything and forces her (for her own good) and everyone else to let Adora sleep, which was just what Adora needed.

Poor Bow. The entire show he’s always been working towards keeping the friendship healthy and happy and strong. Even when everyone else wasn’t trying, he still put the work in EVERY TIME. It makes me sad to see no one actively acknowledging his efforts (other than Entrapta at Beast Island).

A couple things to keep in mind about Micah's potential leadership skills: - Micah is not familiar with the members of the rebellion and their strengths and weakness as people and in combat - Micah was a king, but only by marriage, Angella was the ruler so he may not have the experience you think he does

this Entrapta scene hurts so much, I understand the princess side a little bit, but Entrapta thought she was abandoned by them, and it kind of seems like they only care about her because she can help them in the tech parts of things, not because being herself, it's sad to think about it, she deserves more love from those she calls friends ;w; and this scene of her saying she's doing this to find Glimmer shows that she cares, but she didn't know how to show it right

Yeah one thing i never got over was that the princesses never apologized to her. Entrapta showed she cares, but the princesses didn’t actually care for her before, and never apologized for it. It was Entrapta who had to showed she cared again. I get the princesses, but it sucks they never apologized over their attitudes towards her.

How many times have the princesses been injured because of Entrapta’s machines? And they obviously cared about her if the entire alliance fell apart after she “died”, not to mention the entire statue they erected in honor of her, and the rescue mission they planned for her. Entrapta also DECIDED to stay with the Horde even after she learned that the princess alliance thought she was dead. The princesses were bitchy in the way teenagers tend to be. But entrapta fully betrayed and tried to MURDER them. I feel like people keep forgetting this

She never decided to hurt them, she was manipulated into thinking she was abandoned and then simply built technology for people she felt cared for her (and ultimately with Hordak, she did find someone who cared for her exactly the way she was, not despite the way she was). Also again, i get where the princesses came from, but they had attitudes towards entrapta since BEFORE she joined Hordak. And they mostly fell apart over the guilt of someone maybe dying in their missions. Not her as a person bc they never bonded with her. Bow and Adora did apologize to her by telling her they did not abandon her and would never again, unlike the other princesses. I don’t think the princesses are bad, just wish they had consider entrapta more since day 1 and gotten to talk to her. They never quite did, bc after this they never get to really have scenes with her.

Her failing to understand that or why her friends could be mad is what caused them to believe she just didn’t care about the consequences. Obviously they were wrong, and they learned that by the end of the episode, but it’s still an understandable conclusion for them to come to after everything. I do wish they’d apologized to each other tho.

One of the things I actually like about Entrapta is how, when she feels isolated or confused or alone, they intentionally put her face outside the frame. Really stood out. I asked around, and some people suggested it was to show the situation was so overwhelming for her she couldn't even bear to show her face. Which I thought was pretty powerful

One little trick they do with both Entrapta's "maybe you'd like me" moment and Angella's "I got your father killed" moment in season 1 is to keep their eyes out of frame. That somehow makes what they're saying hit harder because you have to imagine what their eyes are expressing while they say it.

I have to say as someone who is autistic I personally enjoyed Entrapta’s development. I’m not as severe as she is, so it was a bit hard to watch her be so oblivious to others, so watching her slowly gain awareness just from being with others was truly beautiful. I can’t wait to see your reaction to the rest of the season especially next episode. No spoilers of course, but I will say its big. As are the following episodes, oh I can’t wait.

shes autistic, but she is also feral. like. no joke. raised by robots, went to work in the horde as her first socialisation, and then lived on a death island for a year with no people - that's like 3 layers of feral. so i think it's understandable entrapta's not put together and lacks an awareness of danger, outside of her being autistic. but i do think they amp it up considerably in this ep....

Another reason they aren't using Micah for strategy is because Angela was the military mind between the two of them. Remember how guilty she was about "sending him to his death"? I think they implied she was the one leading, he was out on the front lines fighting.

Entrapta is painfully relatable... I also regularly forget people or at least names no matter how much time we spend together regularly. If I had someone friended on FB and we didn't talk for 2 years, I would clean my friends list to keep things tidy and people would get offended or hurt, apparently. I don't really get it but nowadays I consider that this is how other people feel. I also struggle to know how to dumb things down when I talk to people who know nothing about hipster topics I'm super passionate about. Because of this I learned that it's safer to just not talk about my interests but it's very hard since it's all that I have on my mind all day every day. I also take very long to notice when people are angry at me, especially online. Oftentimes I continue conversation in a friendly manner when other person is pissed which they perceive as passive aggressive, of course. It's confusing and leads to lots of drama. Others get offended or angered by so many things, it's hard to keep track of it and predict it. And then noone believes me when I explain my behavior because it's seen as too bizarre. "She must be making excuses."

Entrapta was definitely trying to help in this episode but it's still completely understandable why the other princesses were mad at her. While the princesses did dismiss Entrapta's abilities and didn't treat her as an equal back in season 1 and that was definitely a bad move on their part, Entrapta still worked for the Horde since she was discovered all the way up to the portal being activated. And the fact that Entrapta had no malicious intentions doesn't exactly mean much to the princesses considering all the damage she did. She played a big part in the battle of Bright Moon by making the Black Garnet more powerful and sapping power from the other Runestones, she made bots that attacked the princesses and kept making more despite seeing what they were doing to everyone and was willing to make the portal knowing the Horde would be practically unstopable with it, even though she tried to stop it after learning the entire universe was sure to get destroyed. The princesses were definitely harsh towards Entrapta, but considering all the things they've lost because of her inventions, especially Mermista, it's understandable. But Entrapta's speech and what Mermista said to her at the end of the episode was really heartwarming.

Entrapta and Shadow Weaver are the only characters who have arcs that hold up throughout all 5 seasons of the show. Even Hordak's character arc was crippled by Wrong Hordak wasting all the screen time that rightfully belonged to him.

I remember Entrapta admitting that she didn’t understand people and that she was trying to use her skills to get them to like her made me tear up the first time I watched this episode. It was such an open moment of vulnerability for this character, something she rarely if ever got in the past. And like, it’s not great how Mermista and them handle this before Entrapta has that moment but their frustration is understandable. Not only is the situation they’re in just completely insane and overwhelming but Entrapta had just been on the Horde’s side making robots that we’re trying to kill them with no consideration whether any of them died or not. And even now that she’s back on their side, she still seemed so ambivalent to any of her new (old) comrades at the beginning. Obviously, Entrapta’s intentions are never actually malicious, she just wants to make robots and study tech, but that’s still so messed up. Entrapta is so focused on helping in her own way that her communication skills suffer. It’s all so complicated. But at least in the end they were able to reach an understanding. Prime is just so scary. It’s so easy to believe that he does see all because he can just hijack any of his clones whenever he wants. And the use of monikers like “Little Brother” and “Little Sister” is just… so culty. Again, not helped by the pure white (and sickly green) aesthetic and being seemingly all knowing. Such a great show of how threatening this guy is. Just this overwhelming presence. Ah the symbolism of Catra and Glimmer being stuck together, back to back. Parallel characters, for sure.

What a lovely breakdown of the episode. Absolutely correct. It's all messed up, but they work through it in the end. For the other characters, reading the situation and knowing what to say comes easily, but for Entrapta it's a massive challenge, especially explaining what she feels, but at the end she pulls it off, and the others rise up and decide to work in sync with how she operates, trusting her, rather than forcing her to do something she's really bad at and sneak around. And it turns out the all-out, guns blazing style suits Mermista - while it's risky, charging straight in to cover Entrapta, it's pretty clear that they weren't going to pull off the mission by playing it safe. It's satisfying to see these characters work together, in a bookend to the arc that started in "No Princess Left Behind" when they weren't in synch and Entrapta first split up from them. Prime is fucking terrifying and he is the complete opposite of what all the other characters stand for.

Referring to people as brother and sister, specifically when it seems insincere, is a classic gas lighting, cult like, manipulative behaviour. Especially as when moments later you both comment on Horde Prime being so ominous and unsettling. Feigning a level of intimacy with your prisoners, or those you wish to control, adopting a calm, and pleasant demeanour to distract from authoritarian and controlling intent, etc Also Scorpia and Frosta totally did the Fastball special together! Sweet reference! Entrapta is a sweet heart and it heartens me to see so many comments supportive of her and relating. I think with the show, a lot of the conflict, is resolved by slowly learning to adapt and accommodate through understanding. Which is great, and was great to see progress and resolution made.

I would've cut the leash jokes in S5, they're not gonna age well. Made sense in S1 when the cast was younger, not when most are in their early 20s. (And Entrap is hinted to be 30-32 by the end of the series!) Great Ep all in all, and the only S1-S4 She-Ra appearance in the whole season!
