Glimpse of Nilachal Vedic Village, ISKCON Talasari

A Vedic farm community initiative by ISKCON Juhu
Nilachal Vedic Village highlights the importance of living in harmony with nature and using the gifts that nature has bestowed upon us to serve the society by setting up a model Vedic farm community based on principles guided by Vedic scriptures. At Nilachal Vedic Village (NVV), Mother Earth and cows are a key part of a perfectly sustainable system that can fulfil the needs of human society - physically, mentally, socially, economically, spiritual and environmentally.
Nilachal Vedic Village is situated in the Talasari Taluka of Palghar district, Maharashtra, a two and half hour drive from Mumbai. NVV is home to a temple of Lord Jagannath, Baladev and Subhadra, a farm, a goshala with more than 180 desi cows and a guest house with swimming pool.
NVV provides milk, flowers, vegetables and fruits for the Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari Temple, ISKCON Juhu, Mumbai and the community at large. It offers numerous initiatives in tribal welfare, women empowerment and value empowerment endeavours for rural schools.
Nilachal Vedic Village is a model to illustrate how living a simpler, more natural way of life based on Vedic principles will help to check imbalances of values in life and achieve peace and unity.
