Can we talk about how dope Salem's move was at 3:07? Drops a bomb at a slightly slower rate than his fall speed, then pushes it down with a down air, giving him double coverage to land center stage. Great move that helped practically guarantee a safe recovery.

while I think that link was a better pick, I fucking love watching two incredibly fast characters fly around the stage. It was like watching a goddamned anime battle. the amount of times they would trade hits, be sent to opposite sides of the stage and then zoom right back at each other was crazy.

Probably thought fox being a rush down character would be hard to deal with as link, I feel like link loses to rush downs, but after this set Salem played ZD’s fox who isn’t as good as light and got reversed 3-0ed as link so he was probably right to bring out the zss here, he just got out played

I'm not so sure. I mean salem had some CRAZY plays vs light and zd and the matches were close. The game hasn't even been out 2 months and salem is already so good. Hes never used link before either. These fox mains have used him for YEARS, by now it's 2nd nature.. Give salem time. Fox is pretty light too, you just gotta play around his speed. Fire fox ignites bomb as well, so he isn't too safe off stage either. I'm just excited theres actually a skilled link main lol. T is real good too

mikallink and izaw is a good link too but he doesn’t travel to events, but yeah I guess it’s a good point that fox mains have been using for a while, and over time Salem will probably learn how to play all the matchups, Link can edge guard pretty hard of stage with his bombs and fox’s recovery not being very good I could see how he might struggle, kinda seems, maybe even, I think battlefield would probably be a good stage for fox in that matchup
