Exactly! I may not be a Digital Circus fan, but I concur with that statement! In the Golden Age of Animation, as far as I know, there almost NEVER had to be a separation between kids and adult cartoons, as most of them were for anyone and everyone that could fill the cinema seats. Even in the 60s, The Flintstones held that standard for as long as it could. TBH, its safe to say that the main reason why animation is stigmatized is due to the massive abundance of cruddy cartoons that had started out with Hannah-Barbera in the 70s, all made for the same purpose as today's content farms: moneymaking based on trends, not true art. Today's content farms only help carry on the legacy of such a horrid era by upholding the stigma that animation is a genre for babies.

Im not really sure what the issue with R34 stuff of characters is, and id like to know. For one, people will be imagining these things and situations already, putting it in art form just lets them share, and these pictures are usually put in places they belong, or tagged so people who dont want to see/find it, wont. I can understand the dislike of R34 content if the characters were vtubers, meant to be the representation of a real person, or a self-insert. These kinds of characters are based off a real person, and so its understandable for that real person to be uncomfortable knowing there are such images being made, or shared.

One time I wanted a lego minifigure of Jax I looked online and found the entire crew but they were 20$ and they were a knockoff so I made a custom (and you see it on my channel) but a month later I found the entire crew and for 1$ I didn’t know if needed it and a week later I needed it for some of the characters because I couldn’t make them as customs So some times I just get a bootleg for 2 reasons 1: if lego never made a jax i would get a bootleg 2: if lego made a Jax and it was too expensive I would get a bootleg.
