🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭Ghana music to the world🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭 no hating chale, our sound is good too, if we also get the right International plugs,(Universal Music, Empire), we will also get to the BETs and the GRAMMYs more often(even though awards might not necessarily be the yardstick). big ups to brands that has already sent us there in the past like Kojo Antwi, DBlack, Sarkodie, R2Bees, Stonebwoy, MzVee, Kwesi Arthur, Rocky Dawuni, KillBeatz and Fuse ODG. Let's stop the hate and push our music beyond Ghana and we'll get the recognition too. In the past, the likes of Osibisa band and other Ghanaian "Burger" Highlife Bands, after touring the whole of Ghana with their music,,,they stepped out and toured Neighbouring countries like Nigeria, Ivory Coast, etc. They move to Europe & America to promote their music there aswell. While in Nigeria promoting their Highlife Sound, they use to blend their twi language with the Nigerian Pidgin and sometimes Igbo. Check out a song like "Yellow Sisi Dey For Corner" composed by a Ghanaian known as Okukuseku Sammy Koffi and u will understand what I'm saying. That's how come those their highlife songs grew on alot of Nigerians in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and some Nigerians like Fela drew inspiration from it(even before travelling to Ghana) and added their Fuji music and called it AfroBeat. I'm happy about recent moves made by the likes of Camidoh, Gyakie, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Stonebwoy, travelling to Nigeria & other parts of the world promoting their sounds... Let's also not forget how Ghanaian Music Dominated the scene in Naija in the late 90s and 2000s with the likes of VIP, Tic Tic, MzBel, Reggie Rockstone, Bollie, Ofori Amponsah, 4x4, etc. Kudos. One Love🇬🇭
