They are flexible but need a long bus-stop area. That is why they failed in London. The old Routemasters were short and narrow and two or three would easily line at one platform behind each other.

Yup. Articulated bus are the best in all scenario's except if there are tight turns and length restrictions. But ther loading speeds are much faster. And they have lower clearance.

@@rubikfan1 And the London bus-stops are too short for them. That is a fact. I saw it myself. One bus got in, the second one only until its "accordeon" and the tail stood in the street. No wonder that London Transport went back to double-deckers.

If you get the chance, you should check out Essen route 147! Its Guided Busway where they use Bendy Bus! Closeby in Wüppertall they also have suspended monorail aswell!
