even if gaster is smart there is no reason for him to draw a connection between a game on a computer and whats going on with papyrus gaster is a very logical person him coming to the conclusion of the exe being the reason is weird.

No, it logically makes sense. When Gaster has seen every corner of the code, when there is a sudden anomaly in text, and an anomaly in character personality, at the same time, it would make sense for him to draw a conclusion between the two.

I mean, let’s say your dog is in the living room, and doesn’t approach you when you call them to go for a walk. I would find that odd, and look about the house for anything odd, in this case being excrement. I would assume the dog had released it, and did not require to go for a walk, thus making me believe that the dog had released it instead of a raccoon. I do admit that Gaster made a bit of a stretch, but I get where you’re coming from. Edit:I do believe he correlated them in the video, but with not as much detail.
