im a lumberjack from germany and i got a question in the video you cut the final cut on the same hight as the bottom of the notch over here we cut a little above so the tree has something to press against to avoid the log to fly over the stomp is there any benefit of not doing that?

You are correct thats the best way to do it, but sometimes if the center of mass of the tree is so far one way it dont matter, only benefit is time saved. You say your a tree feller so i think you know every tree is different.

@@f0rumrr Ye i agree here in germany the forestry business is 60 percent preservation work , like planiting new trees and caring for them because our forests are dying in the us or canada you can cut down unbelievebal sizes of forest and it doesnt matter because you have so much forest

If a fella could fell tress how many tress could a fella fell if a fella could fell trees? School made us believe that only we could prevent forrest fires so I thought we'd be putting out fires often, I'd have to stop drop and roll because I'd be on fire. So much pressure based on lies...
