To Summarize: 1. YN Illumination glitters are one color, one note glitters that are opaque, full coverage with chrome effect. Other YN glitters may add light, be more transparent or even iridescent. ***Know and understand your glitters before using and mixing. Not all glitters are equal*** 2. The same color of glitter in a different cut will give different effects. 3. Backgrounds make a big difference in the color and effect of the glitter. Black vs white vs clear bring out different effects. 4. Be mindful of the topcoat used for glitters. YN Ultimate Finish is the best for the sugaring technique as it doesn't have a sticky layer. No wipe top coats advised. 5. If looking to create a custom glitter color, use glitters of the same line of cut so they will mix evenly and will create a custom color. Mixing glitters of different cuts (or sizes) will simply add the effects without changing the color of the base glitter.

Hhiii!! Please let Melissa know this. 🤗🤗🤗 And to all my other nail enthusiasts. Ok, so I'm determined to become really good at dimensional nails and from this lesson of understanding the nature of glitter, I figured what better model than myself (and advertiser 😉). So as I'm looking solely from my notes and flashbacks of her voice, I'm catergorizing my YN glitters into Illumination / coverage, Iridescent and opalescent. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Before they were in color order but now in this way I can choose the color in the category I need. 🧐🧐🧐 Okay So, this is what I'm happy about. Of course, not all the glitters I have were mentioned here so me trying to correctly catergorize them without swatching is like...🤔🤔🤔. And then...💡💡💡! From the coverage she named, I turned them to the side slowly rolled them and checked to see if I could see through them from what was stuck on the plastic...😮😮😮...I could not. 👍🏾 Then from the spiking colors she mentioned, could I see through them from the plastic...😮😮😮... Yeesss!! 👍🏾 Soooo, now this is how I can get a better chance at finding out if the rest of my glitters are coverage or iredescent!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Cuz like she said, looking into the pots they look dark but on it's side with light going through (my lazy version of swatching. 😂) Will tell if light will travel through. I'm so happy about this, I have a lot of YN glitters (shame on me: slaps hand 😏) that need this new placement and now I think I can place them accordingly THANK you Melissa!!! ♥️♥️♥️ And thanks YN for making great products. 🥂 They are worth the buy, great in quality and soooo universal AKA more use for my money. If you want to make it a glitter acrylic powder. The ratio is 1 to 3. So if you put one scoop of glitter its three scoops of clear acrylic! 🙌🏼👍🏼💅🏻🙏🏻💖💖

Since this video is on sugaring, you wouldn't want to apply any top coat or encapsulation since you would lose the effect.

I applied these as a sugar effect so you don’t bust these. If you want them smooth you could add to topcoat to it actually two layers of topcoat and it will self leavel! 😉😊🙌🏼💅🏻✨💖

You can sugar onto natural nails as well. You just pour the glitter into uncured gel and then cure it.
