Growing up in Newark N.J. and listening to all the other icons like Timmy Regisford, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Masters at Work, and The latin Rascals. And many more and the list goes on and on . but to know they're all recognized in the east coast and involved in my life growing up and in my music collection , its a blessing. @@diskohaze6155 the Whistle Song not only raises the Body Electric arm hair tingling...but always, somewhere mid way through tears of Joy fall...Frankie will always remain in a special place in the hearts of Chicago’s house lovers...patrons of his Warehouse, then Power Plant where w/ Jamie Principle collaborated on Your Love ...Saunders then produced On and On ...and the birth of House exploded all over Chicago and beyond .. a Dj from Detroit brought the drum machine to Frankie and Ron Hardy at the Music Box took the original disco Euro synth sound to a harder driving constant drum beat overlays with cult classics ...and the true Chicago House sound was born ...had the fortunate timing to always be working of different consulting engagements at times Frankie was there . ..his stint at Heaven London .. taking over the tables in NYC SoundFactory after Junior went on sabbatical (he needed the rest) ... it only took awhile b4 word got out ...soon security installed a metal detector as gang rivals came to Dance off their hostilities ...Voguing in its purest raw form ...my dearest friend, of Italian origin, Franco a fashion branding ad man and I ...our entire Entourage would stop dancing..,take a seat w/high perch ..to marvel in Awe at not only the amazing dance moves...but, that the Music could bestow Peace ... From that moment on...our refrain “God does indeed live on the Dance Floor...and a man named Frankie Knuckles is his prophet ...uses his knuckles to twist and turn those vinyl discs to Heal & Love never to hate or fight. Franco’s friendship w both Frankie and Madonna would of course lead to her Witness of the Ball Inspired gang dance-offs and would become mainstream w/ her release of Vogue then special appearances once again in London at Substation..where he and Chicago native Derrick Carter (deep house) worked the crowd into such a frenzy, sweat was dripping from the ceiling in the relatively small basement club ... It was winter...the crowd refused to leave and brace that cold ..,needless to say...they played until late into the afternoon next day ... Jelly another Legend so fitting starts with Whistle Song and ends on Stand On The Word ... Both Jelly and Frankie Believers and that God can move in mysterious ways ... Cheers Jelly !!! 🎉🎊🎉 One hell of a godly inspired Set
