Nodding in agreement to what all three of you were saying about conferences and the prices they command. What I noticed most of all is that many of the people who attend conferences are from an older demographic, say people in their 50s and up. Young people in their 20s are just not there. This goes for other conferences not related to tarot. If we want younger people to take up the baton, we need to make it easy for them to participate too.

1:37:00 Yea, Credo quia Absurdum/Terra Volatile has had a rough go of it lately. I had a pre-order in for the deck+expansion and, all outside of their control, it was just one issue after another. Well worth the wait in the end as they do some truly fantastic work. In fact, backing up to the previous topic of supporting creators, when they later announced the printing "issue" with the collector's edition (came out slightly darker than expected) I wanted to show some additional support and ended up putting the money together to take two off their hands, one of which is I'm using for some tarot-based solo TTRPGs (e.g. Anamnesis, Tangled Blessings, etc..)

I feel like good sound is more important than good lighting. A desk lamp or window is fine. AirPods have a better microphone than just using the speaker/mic on your phone. If you want to upgrade, a lapel mic is a great next step.
