Also for the ones without holes, you can drill a tiny hole to add liquid and then use an eye hook and uv resin to close, then you’ve got a hanger to make keychain as well. If you don’t want to add water but still want a hole for an eye hook, drill a tiny hole and attach with the eye hook and uv resin

I've always topcoated after filling. The acetate has more give than the UV topcoated acetate. For ones without filling holes, I just punch a hole in the acetate, add a tiny piece pf acetate or a tiny glue dot to the hole, then topcoat it. ❤

Some people like having no bubble and some people do, it's all personal preference. Those that like having a small bubble inside believe that it helps the fun stuff inside move more, like the bubble can help push it around. And those that don't like the bubble just don't like how it looks. It's all what you like.
@cheryl389513 күн бұрын

Thank you for the fun tutorial i was wondering if you could use the little hole makers (the smallest one)from little windows ? lay that where the fill hole is so resin doesnt accedently fill it in ???
@glitznglitterbymichelle16 сағат бұрын

@juliasmith200013 күн бұрын
So if u want to add liquid to them just use ur drill and a small bit and drill a hole, then fill them up until full then use clear uv resin to seal the hole and top coat over the accetate and it will be all good.
@Shanenkj12 күн бұрын
You also don't need to cut the shape of the dolphin, as long as the acetate is smaller than the outside shape, it works! So you could've cut a simple circle if you wanted to, since it will be covered in resin.

@glitznglitterbymichelle112 күн бұрын
Yes if you use a strong glue I think it might work
@reginadarlin59613 күн бұрын
You don’t need to cut the shape exactly. You can cut a whole round for the dolphin and uv resin it to the whole front just make sure you have a bead of uv resin around the dolphin cavity. You’ll be doming the whole front anyway ❤️

These turned out lovely. Try half the amount or less than half of items for each shaker, then when you add the glycerin the items will move better. It's not necessary to add water with the glycerin. The glycerin makes the items move around slowly. I have used baby oil too. I didn't top coat & the plastic film lifted up. What a mess I had.🤦♀️If I use oil again, I will top coat first.

Could you put the resin items on the middle shelf on top of the uv lamp base ,fill them with embellishments Then put the liquid also in the items then place all the pre cut plastic covers on each item with uv resin connect the top part of the uv lamp to the base and cure them all on the shelf?Just a thought ,as that way you wouldn't need to worry about about holes or no holes in each item for the liquid to go through as you would have all ready filled each item befor you put the plastic covers on befor curing?

@@glitznglitterbymichelle1hiya,imAnji from suffolk in the UK. Don't fill your mold with water then pour the water into a measuring cup ti see how much resin it will take. Measure a cup of water (or I have a 2 cup measuring cup for bigger molds). Fill your mold from the measured water . Subtract what is left in the measuring cup from what you started with to give you an accurate measure for how much resin you will need. Then you don't have to worry about lifting up a mold full of water.
@khowler13 күн бұрын
That is so weird that you smell an odor. I used these for Christmas ornaments and I didn't smell anything. Grey Blue and the Blue are my favorite. Several of the ones you have said have no hole actually have a hole sometimes it's not a notch, it's an actual hole on the side.
@glitznglitterbymichelle113 күн бұрын
I didn’t see any at all
@khowler13 күн бұрын
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 Yeah. Some of them are tiny holes on the side in some of these shaker molds. Sometimes they appear as notches where you can see them. Sometimes the things you think are bubbles are actually the fill holes! Shaker molds are so weird. All depends on who makes them. For instance, the candy molds all have a small tiny notch in the "circle" section. Some makers make the hole very obvious and some molds you have to really look in ODD places for the holes. Sometimes they are in the creases between like a paw pad for instance or the V of a heart. I think some molds just expect you to drill a small hole, fill it with liquid and then fill the hole afterward.
