I so love the dolphins. I always have. Maybe next time you use the dolphin mold, maybe use the uv resin on the eyes and on the tail. The eyes are brownish some with dark grey to black. There are pink dolphins, white, there's one that is gorgeous it's a black and white dolphin those would be pretty to do in the mold also. Every thing else turned out really nice. I think making a small UV resin dam at the end of the tail would help keep the resin from running out. Or a sheet of resin paper, clear or in the color you used for the dolphins. Looks gorgeous!

They all turned out great! Maybe put a dot of UV resin to create a dam in those areas were the resin could flow over the edge? But, I think they turned out pretty regardless.

I think everything came out beautifully… As much as it’s a pain. I think putting the mica directly on the mold, is probably the only way to get the tiny dolphin completely… I would love to see the dolphins in a silvery grey….

Maybe trying creating a dam using hot glue. Then resin will stay in place and u can peel off the hot glue or use alcohol to remove it. Beautiful piece.

I’ve done resin covered tumblers before. My question is, how do you get it out of your measuring cup once it’s hardened?

If it’s a silicone cup clean it with alcohol before it cures. If not then you have to peel it out and probably use tape to get it off.

It doesn’t matter what color the mold is to go into the vacuum chamber. You just need to make sure the mold is only about 1/3 full or it will bubble over.
