How are the points calculated? Certain songs being above certain songs seems questionable.

The points are calculated following the same inverse-point system that Billboard uses for its GOAT lists, in which positions from 1-10 are heavily rewarded with a fixed amount of points. However, in order to balance out the list, each week is weighted differently according to how dinamic or stale the top 10 non-festive singles are during a period of 26 weeks prior and 26 weeks after each chart-date. Positions should be a lot above on the list.

Positions just spent 10 weeks inside the top 10 during the same time period in which Blinding Lights, Dynamite and Mood were refusing to die, thus making the multiplier way lower for those weeks. Christmas was also on the rise, and that didn't help either. And overall, Positions just spent 36 weeks inside the top 100. That's kinda...short :(
