Ive been cautioning against the coming food crunch in the western world, and famine in Africa, Middle East, and Asia, for a few months now. It is extremely depressing to see the 'Global North' as it were prioritizing energy policy over global food security, but given the context of these times I can't argue that their decisions are outside of the expected for political superorganisms.

Great to hear the bit about hybrids. I'm not a climate alarmist but I've been driving Prius' since 2011. I'm considering a Ford F150 but a hybrid model over all electric. They seem perfect for what will at best be a very slow transition away from fossil fuels.

Gee, if you are concerned about the environment the most practical job you and others can do is to go out and plant Trees particularly in the city/suburbs area, trees take in CO2, release Oxygen and provide shelter for birds , bees etc
