Dr.K.S.Ratnakar, after MBBS degree from Andhra University, Guntur Medical College, Joined All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for his post-graduate studies, MD in Pathology, under Professor V.Ramalingaswamy. During his residency, he was awarded, W.H.O. Scholarship and also Babha Atomic Energy fellowship. Later he joined AIIMS, New Delhi as Head of ocular Pathology and developed branch till 1979.He joined as Prof. and Head of the Department of Pathology, at M.R.Medical College, Gulbarga while he is still at 35 years of age. Later he joined as Prof and Head, Department of Pathology, Nizams, Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad(1986 to 2004).He was also Dean, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science from 1992 --1997. And now he is DIRECTOR-Global Medical Education and Research Foundation of Global Hospitals.
Recently, He was conferred with the prestigious award of “Dr.Shankar Benerjee Memorial Gold Medal award” for 2006 for distinguished services for the uplift of pathology”, Prof GovindaReddy Gold Medal Oration of NTR University (2209) Prof D.J.Reddy Gold Medal Oration (2011), Dr Sambrani memorial lecture, Gulbarga(2011),Dr G. Laksmipathi Memorial Lecture (2012) Padmabhushan Smt Avabai Gold Medal Oration 2013., Dr Aravind Memorial Oration, Chennai Medical College and Research center,Trichy,2014.

remarks given by him about women dignity are very inappropriate. People like him are the ones that blame the victim when a rape happens . He says that a women body is precious and supposed to be locked up in a locker! Isn’t that what inequality means! He says that the dignity that a society gives its women depends on what a women puts on her body! Isn’t that supposed to be changed by now! That is what all the women and shout on top of our voiced to not put my dignity in my dress. I am human with choices. Remarks like this are being forwarded on whats app groups just adding support to uneducated fools when a person like him with respect talks such things. This will only lead to further oppression of women. If you’re body is god’s please stop grooming it.

Dressing for a occasion is when a person dresses accordingly, rest is upto their own choices and no human has a right to make others feel uncomfortable for dressing a certain way or think it is okay to behave inappropriately if you are dressed a certain way. And to say such a thing to present parents ( majority of his audiences) is gonna make parents police their daughters and blame for any harassments they face when it the fault is completely of the person that is committing the crime.
