It's saddens me to think of what humanity has done to our fellow earthlings. Some may argue that extinction is something that all of earth's creatures must face and that when a more dominant species come along they cause the extinction of those that are unable to adapt. Humanity does not fall into This category because humanity is capable of killing simply for pleasure. We need these magnificent cats to live so that the balance of life is maintaining. Thank you guys at 'Big Cat Rescue' for caring for and rescuing those beautiful creatures.
@letrebuchet60988 жыл бұрын
+Pop Turner Your opinion of humanity is lopsidedly misanthropic. The percentage of humans who kill simply for pleasure is minuscule compared to those of us who would never think of doing such a thing and, in fact, we are also in a unique category as the only dominant species in the history of the world that actually works to prevent extinctions. Lighten up on us, please.

Terrific video. They're all so beautiful and dignified, even with "duckies" floating in their water. White tigers are striking but there should be a law against inbreeding. If I'm not mistaken it's causing many big cats in captivity to be more aggressive than normal as well as creating health issues. Thankfully queen Zabu seems to be doing fine. It's ironic that she's so special and beautiful yet is a symbol of what should end if humans are involved.

I've always wondered actually, but never been able to find a real answer. Why _do_ tigers have the stripes, literally, skin deep?
@bigcatrescue9 жыл бұрын
Bobfish Almighty Tigers have stripes to blend and camouflage in with their native habitat.
@BobfishAlmighty9 жыл бұрын
I know, but why are they into the skin? I wouldn't have thought there would be many bald tigers that had need of hiding. Because they'd more likely have been so ill that they died anyway, and thus didn't pass on genetic traits y'know?
@BobfishAlmighty9 жыл бұрын
I know. That's what I mean, I don't understand why. Other furred animals generally have an even skin colour, so it puzzles me why tigers are different. I can't see any particular reason why the species had a need to develop that particular trait. Going a bit lateral, it's the same thing with swimming. Why did tigers evolve to enjoy water so much that they swim, seemingly, for fun? I think there's still a lot more about them that we don't understand than we realise. And that's one of the reasons I'm so fond of them
@bigcatrescue9 жыл бұрын
Bobfish Almighty All cats have their coloration that does down to their skin, but just tigers. Tigers evolve to be swimmers in search of more food options, whether they are doing it to catch fish or turtles, or to relocate themselves to find a better food source.

@bigcatrescue9 жыл бұрын
+mcjunieb Pseudo sanctuaries are very common because the owners feel if they call themselves a sanctuary, then they will receive more money and donations. It is a trick!! The Global Federation For Animal Sanctuary website has an entire list of accredited sanctuaries. This video describes what an accredited sanctuary is and the guidelines they follow. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rIjSo36Zo8eSnsU Pseudo sanctuaries do not follow these guidelines. white fur only caused by inbreeding? is that why zabu looks so adorably silly? so cute.
@HatashiLuvsU9 жыл бұрын
This is a wonderful video but it is also a sad video because even though these animals are in a sanctuary that loves and cares for them they should be in the wild but they're not because of the ignorance of their former owners or because of downright cruelty. I'm not saying that BCR is bad I'm just saying that it's a shame that these wild animals are in such peril because of humans. These tigers don't know the difference though, so it's nice to see that they have such a loving environment to spend their golden years in. Glad to see they're enjoying life :)
