Hi, informative video. I have a question. When we go for a semester to the USA, what happens to our current degree program? Because we will lose a semester(core technical modules also) in our home university, are we dropped a year then?

Hi Suzana. You video really helped me as I have to apply for ugrad this year. I have a few questions. 1. How much should be ur gpa, does it have to be too high? 2. Do you require much certificates or participations in university societies to attach in form? 3. From a scale of 1-10 if your english is 8, will that be okay?

Glad it helped! 1. There are no fixed cgpa requirement. But if your cgpa is not high enough, make sure you fulfil the other requirements like excellent community work, other accolades and recognitions. 2. You do not have to attach any certificate. Just writing about these in your essay will suffice. 3. Yes it is completely okay! They will require you to take a TOEFL exam after you get selected in the preliminary stage.

Students who have not completed at least one semester cannot apply because they don’t have the grade transcript yet which is required to complete the application.

After the deadline of the online application, when do usually applicants get the information of whether they have been selected or not?

Usually it takes around a month and a half to shortlist the candidates. If you're shortlisted you will get to know within that timeframe. Although it differs from country to country.

Recommendations may come from any source! Recommendations do play a key role in your selection but the essays definitely have more weight!
