I was expecting a partial joint penetration(PJP) and some limits to be defined in the size(throat thickness) of the fillet weld. These is long addressed with SCIA. Also the 23 version gives mesh generation errors which did not exist in the 22 version, also sent to SCIA. There is the need for the definition of the preload values in the bolts(snug tight is a definition rarely understood by engineers or site teams), for the moment full preload only is possible. Also some ways to define slotted holes in the webs and flanges of beams would be necessary(negative volume is excluded).

Dear Predator, thanks for your suggestions. PJP welds and improved options for slotted holes are already on our wishlist and long-term development plan, but the list is very long, and some other features have higher priority, so we can not say now in which version this will be available. For the preloaded bolts, the CBFEM model used counts with the requirement that the pretension force on site is applied as is required for the bolt by the manufacturer. www.ideastatica.com/support-center/bolts-and-preloaded-bolts www.ideastatica.com/webinars/summer-series-workflows-for-preloaded-bolts www.ideastatica.com/support-center/check-of-bolts-and-preloaded-bolts-according-to-eurocode Thank you for using our software and for watching the session!
